I am disappointed with this maker. The clock runs slow, about an hour a day. I have had it about six months, the coffee tastes great but too many problems. The clean light keeps coming on. I clean it per instructions, then the next time I use it, the light comes back on. When this happens it takes about 20 minutes to brew a pot. I have run the clean cycle about 5 times but still problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Biggest piece of garbage I ever owned.

I've spent the last 3 days trying to clean this coffee pot with no success. I've cleaned it with the 6 cups of vinegar AND with the Brew Rite product and the "Clean" clean light still comes on. I bought it 6 months ago to replace a Bunn the died after 6 years of use. I'LL NEVER OWN ANOTHER MR COFFEE AGAIN!!!!

Seam leakage

This is my second coffee maker that leaks. I do love the coffee temp and the thermal carafe that keeps it hot. However, during each brew, the carafe leaks black liquid from the seam. It's doesn't look like coffee, but like a 'rusted' liquid.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great design

I bought this pot about a week ago, trying the thermal carafe. I really liked the removable reservoir and the slide out basket. Also love this version of the freshness timer. It has a very sleek design and it fit perfectly under my counter. After making my first pot of coffee; first cup came out piping hot and the aroma was to die for, but after only 1 hour the second cup was barely even hot. I drink a lot of coffee, usually about 2 - 3 cups a day sometimes more. So I would not recommend this to anyone who drinks a lot of coffee, because you would only get 1 cup of hot coffee. I'm going back to the traditional glass carafe.

I know exactly what you mean, it's either hot coffee or no coffee! The carafe for the BVMC-PSTX91 coffee maker is designed to keep the coffee hot as long as the lid is closed. Weak coffee, doesn't brew more than 4 cups

Originally I thought this coffee maker was great. I made myself a pot of coffee, filling the water reservoir up to the 4 cup line, and the coffee tasted great and the carafe kept it hot. The first problem I had with this coffee maker was in brewing more than 4 cups of water. If I fill it to the 10 cup line, and add the appropriate amount of grounds to the basket, the grounds overflow into the machine as soon as water is added, it creates a huge mess to clean up and rinse out. And the resulting coffee is trash, as it is weak and full of grounds. This morning I tried to fill the coffee maker up to the 6 cup line, and although the grounds did not overflow, the coffee was extremely weak, looking like tea. I checked the basket and noticed that half the grounds were still dry. I decided to try again, same thing happened. This coffee pot seems incapable of brewing more than 4 cups successfully. What a waste of money and great coffee.

Would Love this pot if didn't LEAK!

Just purchased! Have had less than a week. Love the concept, the side water receptacle, the basket and the way it goes in. People are weird saying their coffee isn't hot enough, nor stays hot. NOT TRUE, does NOT need a heating plate...the pot is the heating plate. My coffee stayed hot for 4 hours! NOT kidding! The flavor of ANY coffee used is amazing....but sooooooooooo very disappointed....because the darn thing leaks! I mean everywhere! The entire counter soaked! It is not the filter basket...the pot is on right. (even ran just water through did the same thing). It is faulty! A lemon! Something wrong with the mechanism that flows into the pot. Leaks from behind the machine. Until I get returned, I put towels down under the pot, and napkins on the plate where the pot sits...and they are soaked through when done...but not a mess all over my counter.

I would not recommend this product. It leaks everytime:( We have tried everything but I think it is just a product design flaw.

Very Easy to Use!

I have had the coffee maker for a little over a year and have been very satisfied with it. It is easy to set the brew timer and very easy to clean. If you drink a lot of coffee this is a great coffee maker
