2nd Time purchase. May be the last...

I bought this coffee while in college more than 10 years ago. It was amazing! Never had a problem with it. So I had full confidence in buying a replacement when my last one finally died. It has not been over a year yet with the new one (not that I have a receipt of original purchase, I didn't think I'd have issues) and I tried to clean recently as you are supposed to do. Twice in a row it would get about a quarter of the way through the brew cycle and then just stop and beep incessantly until I hit the brew button or unplugged it. No idea why this would be happening.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We appreciate you bringing this up to our attention and we sincerely apologize that your Mr. Coffee® Optimal Brew™ 10-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Thermal Carafe isn't completing a full brew cycle. We suggest you to clean your machine by mixing distilled white vinegar and water at a ratio of 2 tablespoons of vinegar for every 5 oz. cup that your coffee maker’s water reservoir holds. Run the mixture through the machine and do not put coffee in. Repeat the cycle if you prefer, but mix a fresh batch of vinegar/water. When you’re done, run clean water through the machine several times to get rid of the vinegar. We hope this helps!

Good Coffeemaker, filter (paper or permanent must go underneath water filter) This is why some reviewers complained of leaks. Makes great coffee.

Heating Element Leaked

Ran three test runs of just water for a clean cycle before running it in the morning. Each test run I had water dripping from the heating element. About 2 oz of water each time on the counter, only used the basket (no filters!). How can a brand new coffee maker leak if it goes through rigorous QA? I took the bottom plate off and ran the 3rd run and got to witness water running down the element. Fun.

Works well, but now has white material on filter

This has been working well. We always use filtered water. I just noticed pieces of white material on the water filter. It is not in the source water. So what is it, where is it coming from, and how to i clean it out or fix it?

Very disappointed

I bought this new coffee pot as a replacement for the prior Mr. Coffee pot that we dearly loved once that carafe began leaking (after years of use.)
Unfortunately, even though I was happy to find another Mr. Coffee with the stainless carafe, we were disappointed to the hilt when upon its very 1st use, it LEAKED :( It leaks upon pouring, but also has coffee under the pot BEFORE you even pick it up as well as coffee just sitting on the top of the carafe before its even poured for the 1st cup.
I bought it when I was at my daughters at a store that we don't have where I live.
My hope is that this company can send us a replacement carafe.
I am giving 1 star ratings, strictly because this product leaks, and who wants that.

This is the updated version of my previous coffee maker that I had for over 5 years. I was so very sad to find that it leaks from the coffee carafe. When you pour a cup of coffee, small drips leak at the seam of the stainless steel and plastic.

Leaky Mess

I had the previous version of this coffee maker and loved it. Only issue was that the clock went out so we could set up delayed brew. This machine leaks from the carafe. I can’t figure out to get a replacement. I don’t see where to submit for support or where to just buy one.

I've loved how this pot brewed coffee since the dsy i bought it.
It does occasionally leak, but not a deal-breaker.
The biggest problem I have is that since around the second week, we could no longer see the clock display.without being in complete darkness and right on top of the machine. Big problem because we could no longer program auto brew.
I bought it in July 2016 and finally contacted Mr. Coffee earlier this year when the auto brew button stopped working completely.
I had hoped that this machine would function better sonce it had the Mr. Coffee name, but I will probably replace with another brand, unfortunately.
