Fridge for pet lovers

Our first impressions of this fridge having only had it a few days. We bought it for a variety of reasons but one was because we thought it would be easier to clean the condenser. We have 4 dogs and easy access to allow cleaning is a must. While the condenser is not actually that easy to get to, the air circulation on this fridge is reverse that of most the units out there: that is, air is pulled into the back of the unit, passes through the condenser, and then exits the bottom. We thought this rather unigue feature would allow us to put some filter material over the air inlet grate on the back of the fridge to prevent dog hair from clogging the condenser. Cleaning would be easy, remove the filter, clean, replace.
Other nice features include: a tray for the indoor dispenser to prevent (melted ice) water sloshing out when the door is open; the abilty to use tall cups with the in-door water/ice feature; the ramp-up LED lighting; the ice-maker all in the door; separate air circulation for freezer and fridge; shelving setup; etc. Quality of construction seems better than average also; E.G. rear cover made of metal instead of cardboard. Energy Star certification was a must for us and this one has it, and is rated as highly efficient.
One apparent shortcoming that I''ve seen mentioned elsewhere: because the icemaker is wholly within the door, only about 6 cubes are produced per cycle. This results in slow ice production. I don' think the ice maker is going to nearly keep up with our needs. We'll have to find a way to work around that.
Another major shortcoming for us, this unit is made in Korea. I'd much rather have bought a North American-made unit but none that we found were suitable.

Great Fridge

I love my side-by-side. Why people buy a refridgerator with a bottom freezer is incomprehensible. I don't want to dig for my food, that's why I love this one.
It looks great, has more room than I thought (for a counter-depth) and fits the opening in my kitchen perfectly.
I've recommended it to several people who have asked how I liked it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great looking fridge but would not reccomend simply because the plastic don't stand up to minimal wear. The shelve supports broke both on mine and a relatives bought at the same time, less than 2 yrs.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just bought a house in Wichita, KS, and needed a refrigerator. After reading all the reviews I chose the 24 cubic foot Samsung side by side. I needed one that would fit into a 39" by 72" space and this model was perfect. It has only been a couple of weeks, but the refrigerator has performed well. It is quiet and produces ice as I need it. I would definately recommend recommend this appliance.

Just bought my first new home and I wanted a good refrigerator to go along with my wonderful house. I trust Samsung for the quality, but the price is a little steep. Overall great product and would buy from Samsung again.

We searched and researched for months before buying this particular refrigerator. We love everything about this product. Looks, ease of use, energy efficiency ....did I mention looks!! Oh and the LED light tower inside...awesome! First class all the way!
