Owned it since 2002, requires distilled water, filter replacement when color changes, fresh clean pad after each use. Used it weekly on tile, hardwood & epoxy floors, don't hold the trigger the entire time. It's balance isn't good when left upright, the slightest movement & it will fall backwards cracking the hard plastic handle, I've taped mine until the trigger no longer works reliably. The cord is stiff and gets wavy but functions. I may buy another unless I find one with a better balance design so when it does tip over it doesn't break. It is an incredible back & knee saver I'm 6-1 so I'd like it to be taller.

It was simple to assemble, and I was amazed how clean bathroom tile got, and we have mexican tile throughout house and it came out great. I could see what a great job it did by the dirt on the microfiber cloth after cleaning. The only complaint that i have is the outrageous price to purchase additional microfiber cloths from Bissell. I guess it's like the copy machine companies, where they make their money on replacement ink! I would love Bissell to offer discounts on additional microfiber covers!

The first time I used it I know its not gonna work for long. Water started dripping from the reservoir connecting to the filter. I checked everything but nothing is working. I think it's loose or something but I don't know where to start. Even though it's leaking the steam is still working so what the heck. This is only the 5th time I used it since my husband bought it and every time the leak seems to get worst. Now, while mopping it would be wet all over the floor like you won't believe it! I have to wipe it with dry towel after using the Bissell. From the very beginning I told my husband it looks flimsy. And it is. I hate it.

I'm disappointed in this mop. It's heavier than other steam mops I have had (I have back problems), and I have to keep press constantly on the button to get steam.

Thanks for your feedback. The 'steam on demand' trigger does not need to be held the whole time, as this may cause excess water on the floor. Try intermittently depressing the trigger. This should help.

I just purchased this steam mop a week ago and have used it a few times...so far I love it!! Even used the carpet glide and freshened the carpets. The only thing I wish was different, is having to use the trigger every time to release the steam, as this tends to bother my hand after a bit. I do recommend this and also the eucalyptus water, as well!

I was using a wood cleaner and thought my floors were getting clean until I used the Bissell Steam Mop Deluxe. I cannot believe how dirty my floors really were until I saw the dirt coming off on the mop head. Truly I see a difference!

Fish smell

I have had my Deluxe Steam mop for a little less than 1 year. At first the mop worked perfect loved how easy it is to use and to clean. After a while I noticed that whenever I mopped my floors there was this fish smell. I replaced filter, water and fabric cleaners thinking this would fix my problem. Recently I mopped again with all the new supplies and smelled the same fish smell when I was done. Not sure what the problem is or how I can fix this. Not liking my mop anymore and considering replacing it with something else.

This product is not what I expected. It does not clean very well and leaves the floor soak and as the floor dries it dries with a film look or cloudy, waste of money.
