This is the second steam mop that I have the pleasure of owning. The first one gave up the ghost after more than 10 years. I just love that we don't need chemicals to get a perfectly clean floor. The mop is light weight and can get under most furniture pieces that you can't even get a broom under. I used the mop once before a party and one particular guest did not want to get his new white socks soiled but guess what the floors were perfect and he didn't get a spot on them when the party was over. Since I must speak on the negative too I would also mention that I too find the pads too much to spend in addition to the initial purchase which you should do to save on S&H. The old pads work fine still and they are more than 10 years old too so I would say there is value for money here for sure.(I bought new ones just in case the old ones did not fit.)

It's the only one to get. But, you have to be careful that the little hose inside to make sure that it is actually in the water.

I am not happy with this product. I purchased it less than a year ago and I remember telling a friend that I bought it. Her response was "does it leak? I heard they do." Well, it started leaking recently so I purchased a new filter. It continues to leak from the filter/water holder area. I have made sure both pieces are inserted tightly and it still leaves quarter sized puddles.
Response from BISSELL HomecareBy bissellpwr, bissellpwr, April 21, 2022
Bev, we are sorry you are having problems. The unit shouldn't leak, even if it is only quarter size drops. You may want to look at the following areas after unplugging the machine from the outlet: Filter - Ensure the thin black o-ring is attached at the bottom of the filter. If this is not present or if the filter is cracked, the filter needs to be replaced. If the o-ring is in place, check for deformity. BISSELL does not recommend using any product other than water in the tank. Products such as vinegar or other solutions will cause deformity of the o-ring. - If the connector the o-ring attaches to is broken inside the receiver, this needs to be removed. Tank - Check the tank and cap insert for damage and to ensure the tank is securely pushed into place on the unit. If needed, a replacement cap insert assembly can be ordered online at this link, http://www.bissell.com/parts/?id=9143&sc=product&productid=3703&icid=ccrr

I love the ease of use for this steam cleaner, but no matter what I do, I still have streaks, marks on my floor!!!! It seems to let out a lot of water and not just steam. Clean moppad, clean filter, distilled water or the recommended bissell cleaner, vinegar and water!!!!!!!!!! help!!!!!!
Response from BISSELL HomecareBy bissellpwr, bissellpwr, April 21, 2022
Karae, it sounds like you are on the right track. I just want to mention a few things. First, vinegar and water can be used on your floor to eliminate streaks, but it can't be used in your steam mop. Next, please make sure you are depressing the steam trigger intermittently as holding the trigger could lead to over-saturating your floor and streaking. Last, if you have used wax or wax based cleaners or polish on your floor you will need to strip this before using a steam product. I hope this helps.

Best Clean around

I recently bought my steam mop and have been wondering ever since what took me so long. My husband had used a wax mop product on the floor without sweeping very well, you know what that did...gave me stuck on grime. This steam mop allowed me to clean most of it up in my first use and almost all the rest of the stuck on grime in the next cleaning. I also have back issues, the ease of this tool is unsurpassed to what I was using with the old mop and bucket or hands and scrub brush. Yes, this tool gives me a hands and knees kind of clean.

I got my steam mop for Christmas last year, and it leaves puddles on the floor if its resting in the upright potion for even a minute or two. Many times when I go to use it I push the trigger for steam and it just makes the priming sound. I can hold the trigger down for 5 minutes and still no steam. It also is very leaky. Water trickles down from where the filter and water container meet. So disappointing. I thought Bissell would have had better quality products.

I like the way the mop cleans, but it leaks when you tip the mop even a little bit. Forget changing the pad with the tank on, water goes out on the floor! I am very disappointed!

LITERALLY just bought this today. After less than 5 minutes it was assembled and I was trying it out. It is by far the best thing I have purchased in a LONG time. Pros- the cloth covers can be washed so you know it is clean when you begin. (unlike a mop) Cons- there isn't one except why didn't anyone tell me how awesome this was before??? Definitely a Bissell fan!
