Worst product ever

Have used this product a total of 8 times using filtered and distilled water and it continually plugged up with small silver balls like lead or solder. I would never buy another bissell product. It is a piece of trash.

Thank you for your review. We're sorry your machine keeps clogging. We can help you with this. To clean the nozzle all you do is remove the one screw to remove the head. Then with a paper clip, bend it out straight. Ream the sides of the brass nozzle to clean. Also, the filter shouldn't have any dark coloring; if it does the filter needs to be replaced. Near Perfect Cleaning for Hard Floors

The Bissell Steam Mop Deluxe will: Keep your household floors clean without the trouble of typical mops, buckets, detergents/cleaners, and without the residue left behind from whatever cleaning product using the above method. The steam and microfibre cloths really do remove virtually everything on the floor, afterspotting. What this product will not do is remove some of the dried on gunk that's common on kitchen floors, sometimes after several passes. Here and there spotting will be necessary. But, those with chronic back and joint pain should not hesitate with this. It really does make doing the floors so much easier.

Very disappointed

I bought this steam mop 6 months ago and haven't had any problems. I went to go use it today and as I plugged it in, it tipped over. I picked it up and and waited for the red light to come on and it did. I went to use it and I doesn't work! All it does is make a clicking sound and no steam! I think a good product should be able to tip over and keep working. Not quit working after tipping over only once! Waste of money.

Sorry to hear about the tipping, Mindi! It's possible the water tank or filter may have become misaligned in the fall. Give these steps a try, they should help! https://www.bissell.com/support/helpful-resources/faqs/faq-detail-page?id=511d0e3a-9514-4134-9331-213b105a210f&cid=ccsocial2107

Excellent choice for a steam mop!

I recently purchased this steam mop after my Steam Boy of 7 years died. What a difference, this Bissell steam mop is light weight (good, considering I'm a petite person), the floor surface dries instantly and it handles easily. I use distilled water in the cup and I like the fact that it shows you when the filter needs to be changed. And it was easy to assemble. This steam mop is an excellent item and the price is about half what I paid for my Steam Boy. I would highly recommend this product.

Excellent Product and Easy to Use

I am over 70 and live in a house with laminate floors. The steam mop is the perfect product to remove surface dirt after vacuuming. It dispenses just the right amount of dampness without saturating the floor. I go over the floor with a dry mop pad to remove any leftover moisture and dirt. Cleanup is very easy and I use distilled water to keep the filter system fresh. This unit is superior to the laminate floor spray cleaners and far less work, but the option of spreading the cleaner on first, then steam mopping, is always available.

I love this steamer. It makes cleaning around the toilet so easy as the head swivels and you can get all around without having to get on your hands and knees. It's also great to clean tile walls. I even use it on my kitchen island as I don't want chemicals on a surface I'll be serving food!

Not happy

This steam mop leaves my floors sopping wet and streaky. I have to wait to long for the floors to dry. Very sorry I threw the box away or it would have been returned.
Response from BISSELL HomecareBy bissellpwrbissellpwrApril 21, 2022
Make sure to only press the trigger as you walk forward, then let go of the trigger as you come backward. Also, it is best not to linger too long in one area; this could be the cause of the streaks. Using a dry, white cloth with vinegar and wiping the areas will remove the streaks. Hopefully these tips will help you.

How do I get rid of the moldy smell from my steam mop

I really like this mop but there is a horrible moldy smell whenever I use it. I don't know what to do to get rid of the smell. It doesn't seem to be coming from the water tank. I want to use the mop but I can't stand to clean my floors when it leaves behind this horrible smell.
