So glad I purchased the Bissell, I had been looking for a steam mop, one of the features of the Bissell is it's "stand alone" ability. Don't have to search for a wall to lean it against, nice feature. This steam mop does what it says it will do! Thanks!!!

found a crack the first time I used it

I received this as a wedding gift and have used a Bissell steam mop before and liked it a lot. As I started using it, I liked it until I noticed it was leaking all over the floor!!! As I searched the product to see what the problem was, I found a crack in the thick plastic basin that holds the water, so now I can not use it without leaving puddles everywhere! :-( Very disappointed since it was my FIRST time using it. I am now just able to use my wet/dry mop.

my steam mop work well

i just purchsed my first steam mop after using a regular mop on wood floors for three years and after a half dozen times of use, its still picking up dirt left from other mop. I have only one issue with it and may be only mine, but i have to make sure no cleaner is left in storage container as it leaks out over night, made quite a mess. Other than that, it works like i had expected it to.

Will not produce steam

I was excited to use this steamer. However, after the indicator light came on, I pressed the button for the steam...nothing happened. I even waited a bit longer thinking it needed time to warm up but still no steam.

This thing leaks.

I've had this steam mop for about 5 years and just now decided to voice my opinion about it. I'm not sure why I've had it so long because it leaks. Not gushing, but if you leave it sitting for any period of time it will puddle up underneath the unit. I'm really disappointed and will probably throw it away in spring cleaning.

Poor contact!!

This machine was given to me by my daughter, used it few times. Now for some reason the water reservoir is not contacted properly with the mop and does not set in securely!!! It leaks as well plus it generates little steam because of the poor contact. What to do?

Northy, it sounds like there may be a simple fix for this issue. For starters, what color is the filter. It will need to be replaced if the color has changed. Change the filter when the bright green grains turn blue. If the filter is not changed at the appropriate time, calcium deposits will accumulate on the heating element, causing damage or reduced performance.

My Clogged Steamer

My steamer quit steaming so I ordered a filter online. It still would not steam so I tried the paper clip thing and it still did not work. With the mop head off i used compressed air and blew the line out from both directions where the filter attaches and where the mop head attaches. It now works better than ever.

I had a different steam mop, it had to be pumped. This was difficult, I got tired very easy. The Bissell is much easier to work, the steam button eliminates the pumping, my arms don't ache when I'm done. My floors looked great too! Very pleased.
