I've had my steam mop for 3 years. I would'nt want to be without it. We have pets in the house and with the steam mop I know the floors are fresh and germ free. My husband loves it also. He and I both have back trouble and it is very lite wt and easy to handle. I would'nt want to use anything else. I have no smell from using it since I wash the pads each time I use them. I have several and I use a clean one each time. I use disdilled water only in my machine. It was a great investment.

I should note, this is my first steam mop, so I cannot compare it to others or even know what I should expect. I purchased this product because we just installed hardwood floors. I didn't want to regularly use cleaners on the hardwood because I knew it would leave a film, and hoped this would leave a nice finish. It certainly did, but I can see how it would not if you did not make sure the floor was swept first. I throroughly dusted the floor with a microfiber cloth prior to using the steam mop and the floor looked beautiful when I was done. I applied steam when pushing forward and let off when pulling back as to avoid over-wetting the surface, and went over the area a few times without using the steam. (I am very paranoid about too much water being applied to the hardwood!# I gave four starts simply because I wish the cord was a little longer, and I did notice that water leaks slightly from the filter area #as though it isn't sealed properly). The leak is not major, but I don't like any water droplets being left on the hard wood, so I need to make sure it gets wiped up well as I go.....at this point it isn't a major problem, but at the time of this review I have only used the mop once. I did use the demineralized water that came with the mop and plan to use it or distilled water in the future to extend the life of the filter. Overall, I am happy that I purchased this item and I am pleased with the results.

I have had this steam mop for over 3 years now and it has been wonderful. I have used on tile, laminate and vinyl floors. It works wonders. The mop is extremely durable and well made. It is very lightweight and easy to use. A nice feature that you wouldn't really think about is that is stands up on its own. Its nice when you have to move something really quick and you don't have to lean the mop against anything. Additionally, it stores very easily and comes with a hook - if you wanted to hang it up. The power cord is quite long which makes it easy to clean a single room without having to change plugs - someone was definitively looking out for us cleaners on that one! :) When I opened the box, it came with mop covers, carpet cleaner cover and Eucalyptus Mint Scented Demineralized Water. The mop covers are great and they are extremely durable. They have held up in both cleaning and washing. There is an adjustable strap to keep the cover tight on the head of mop. They give you more than one mop cover, which is great when you are mopping the whole house. I always use a separate one for the bathroom, as I am sure most people do. We already own a carpet cleaner, so I honestly have not used the mop to freshen the carpets. I think its a great feature to have - although I have never used it. The Eucalyptus Mint Scented Demineralized Water is a wonder addition to the cleaning process and it made the rooms smell phenomenal. Our kitty even loved it too. I am very sensitive to smells and it was not over whelming; however, if you are sensitive, you can mix the scented water with regular distilled water. I have been able to stretch the length of life on my water filter by using distilled water as recommended by the users guide. It has lasted 3 to 4 times longer - easily (if not longer). I used regular sink water the first time I used it and noticed the filter change color almost immediately. Its a real shame that we have all those chemicals in our water supply. After that, I have only used distilled water. The filters are not very expensive, but a few gallons of distilled water and you can extend the life of the filter, which I think is the most cost effective option. Overall, I would rate this mop an A+ and it is a welcomed addition to my cleaning arsenal. It has proven itself to be dependable, durable and well made. It is great for the environment and safe for my family. I am so glad that I have it.

I am so glad I bought this steam mop I just wish I woulda known to get an extra reservoir . I have used this product and I find it more comfortable than clean and wring mops. I think some mops are nice but the cost of pads and special soap reservoirs are too costly for me. this is a really economical mop and I feel good about what I have accomplished when im finished .

I have had my Bissell steam mop for several years. It has saved my back. Physically, I could no longer mop my floors on my hands and knees nor with a standard mop so I purchased this steam mop. This mop was a lifesaver for me and cleaned my hard surface floors even better than the old traditional ways I was using! Unfortunately, it recently stopped steaming and the body is severly overheating. I tried the troubleshooting tips in the owner's manual and could not get the steam operating again. I may upgrade my next purchase to a better quality Bissell steam mop in the hope that it would last longer. I would recommmend this brand.

I have rental homes. When my renter moved out this mop is the only thing that cleaned the tile floors and the grout. The house had a really bad dirty dog smell, and regular mops didnt work to get rid of the smell. This one did!!! I love this mop!!! I will not only use it to clean up my rental houses, but I will also use it in my own home. Thanks Bissell for an excellent produce at a very reasonable price.

Wow, purchased this item thinking that it's going to be one of those, push the dirt around mops....but no way! This item is fabulous for cleaning up after spills and puppy messes! The fresh feeling of steamed floors is wonderful especially with the "scented" steam water! I'd definitely recommend to friends!
