Good phone for a year, then breaks
on January 29, 2012

Good phone, as for the reasons stated above, but the fact that it breaks almost exactly at the one year mark (replaced this phone 2 times, and my third just died out, so I'm onto a simple flip phone until the Skyrocket HD is released) and the lack of product specific content makes it hard to rate it above three stars. I do give it credit for having a beautiful screen, keyboard, and mobile web experience. But, expect the phone to die when the warranty comes around.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, great keyboard, great mobile web, good support in both portrait and landscape, a step above average battery, nice 3mp camera
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, no downloadable content, menu is filled with pay-for apps, lock key is hard to touch, stops working after a year, lacks a thread for messaging only displays singlx

Keyboard

Samsung did a good job with the keyboard on this one. Great space apart and height of the keys. If this keyboard was on every Samsung device that had a slide out keyboard I would get it. I would buy this phone again if they just upgraded the software and processors.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight, keyboard
Cons: Poor quality, Not high def
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worse phone ever

I have always had good luck with Samsung products. This is the worse phone ever. It has to be re-booted daily, sometimes multiple times. It can not be depended on at all. Screen is very unresponsive. Only good feature is the keyboard\, but that is started to act up also.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

SamSung Impression, good & bad

Freezes up, and too thick.Qwerty Keyboard is 5 Star!!!,simple apps missing, one would expect for a phone of this price.Like a 110v wall charger for the batteries.
Sucks power, so a separate wall charger should have been a no brainer.
IF your a Texting nut, this one's for you.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, qwerty slider full keyboard, great screen clarity
Cons: Too big, no 100volt wall charger
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

my 'impression'
on February 26, 2012

This device has a great look and feels comfortable in the palm of your hand. The size may be a little much, but it is not overwhelming. As far as keeping thins simple and basic, it contains all the features you would want or need. Allows you to customize the product to your needs with out giving you more than you need. Over time I have experienced minor performance issues, and the keyboard could be more user friendly. The keytouch needs improving as the buttons fail from time to time over extended use. Overall, a decent product until your ready to upgrade to a more advanced system.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: Not high def, Too big
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great phone, easy to use and great price. Still works the only reason I do not still use it is because I wanted to upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S phones.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!
