Touchscreen problems

I first started having small touchscreen problems about 4 months ago. They quickly became an unresponsive/unuseable screen, and with no way to reset or recalibrate, I sent it in for a replacement as the phone was less than 1 year old. As of last week, the exact same problem has happened, and once again, I am having to dust off my old reliable LG flip phone so I have service. In addition to the touchscreens trouble, many of the qwerty keyboard keys either double strike on their own, or one shows up when I hit something totally different. Not happy with this device and am avoiding brand alltogether simply due to this one phone.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Poor quality, Not high def, Did not meet expectations, touchscreen went out twice in 16 months, poor sound level.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This was the greatest phone I've ever owned till the touch screen just stopped working. And wouldn't you know it. The manufacturers warranty expired one week before. Since the only way to access the phone is through the screen I lost everything. Store tried everything they could to get the phone to work or just get my data from it, but no luck.
The phone is OK. Has some nice features. Love the querty. But is too heavy and big. Like to keep in pocket but is bulky and annoying. The phone locks up and requires a reboot when accessing the installed SD card.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Inexpensive, Durable
Cons: Too big, heavy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've only had my SGH-A877 for one day and I can't put it down. There are many great features, and plenty compatible apps to download. The only issue is that it freezes from time to time. I have done some research and found that it has happened to others. If they could only fix the freeze-up issue the SGH A-877 would be flawless...
I find this a great phone for moderate usage. I really like the keyboard size & ease of use. I've always had good luck with my past Samsung cell phones. Plus, I don't feel the need to have my life revolve around a cell phone like a LOT of other people do!
