this phone needs some work done on it

i bought this phone about a year ago and it was fine and now it's been acting up. the phone will stop letting text or make any calls just for no reason and i have to turn my phone off just to make it stop. also when i'm calling someone the calls drop or the phone just ends the call for no reason. also when i'm text once again the keypad and everything just lock up and i can't do anything about it. so personaly i wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone at all.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

I bought this phone mainly because of the qwerty keyboard and sturdy feel to it. I then found out my old flip phone had better features than this phone! It freezes up while texting, the keyboard is horrible and the camera is not the greatest, pictures usually turn out blurry because it actually takes the picture a few seconds after you think it already did! I've had to send it in twice for the touch screen not working and unfortunately, after getting it back, it seems I no longer can save a picture in a text to my picture folder and I can't take a picture and use it for caller ID. I cannot wait till my contract is up and I can get a new phone.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

I have had my impression for almost a year now. My screen just recently began malfunctioning...freezing up. Day 1, it would go in and out. By day 2, it was completely frozen! I was still able to make and recieve calls. I wasn't able to check messages, email, internet, voicemail, and any other menu options.Luckily it was still under warranty and I have a refurbed phone coming. Unfortunately, I tried to recalibrate my screen and now it's completely locked up! My screen is now stuck on the calibration target. I can't use ANY feature on my phone. I can't even call out. My phone is only good for recieving calls....until the new one is shipped. I am hesitant that I will run into the same problems with the one being sent. Bottom line is this....a phone that is completely unable to be used is worthless!
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, many malfuctions, screen locks beyond repair

Eternity vs Impression

Why must they always change things when it's not broken? The Impression was a much better phone in my opinion. One of the features I loved and depended on was the flashing light on the Impression letting you know when you have a msg. No such thing in the Eternity- they took it off! I have had problems with this phones software and keyboard too. My phone freezes too often and it won't the screens contents don't turn vertically anymore. I have partially open my keyboard to text on screen this way or use keyboard (which I don't like). It's been nothing but probs and this is the 2nd replacement. I would love to be able to say I love this phone, but I cannot! Leave things alone next time Samsung!

Ive had this phone for about a year. you have to CONSTANTLY restart it for texting, the slide out keyboard is so horrible..its like instead of saying "Hello how are you?" it will print "Hhhello hw re yu>".
I do however like the feature that the phone provides like the multi-task bar, the internet access, and the apps.

Overall, I wouldn't buy this phone if you are in to texting. Otherwise..I would say it's not worth the money, buy something better.

Samsung Impression- It was great at the time!

Just last week, Feb 7, 2011, I traded up to a Samsung Captivate from this phone which I'd gotten last September 2010. I was very hopeful when I got it and became very disappointed after the first month. My biggest gripe was battery life, this phone had the worst of ANY phone I've ever owned. 2 days on standby and 3 hours talk time- MAX. I had to charge EVERY night and make sure I had a car charger on any day trip because the battery didn't last. I didn't use it for web surfing or anything except for calls and texts. I adjusted all I could to save the battery to no avail.
Gripe-2 Sleep/Wake button is in wrong location with it being a side slide phone. Usually hard to get to to even use the phone, just a bad design.
I don't really fault Samsung and even got their new Android phone, which I guess I should have gotten in the first place. Not everything can be made without a few bad models too! Overall though very happy with the Samsung brand. My wife loves her Eternity and it has had no problems at all.

About a year ago I purchased this phone. It first I did enjoy the use of this phone. But 4 months later the screen would not respond. I had not saved my contacts to my sims card. So I lost my data. My fault I won't that happen again. I sent my phone in to the insurance carrier who then sent me a new phone. Sweet 4 months later which is present time. I had the same thing happen. What do I do now? I spend a lot of money on a phone which only lasts 4 months. I use my phone every day. I do not see me my usage excessive or abuse. I need a reliable phone not the piece of junk.

i am a bit rough for this phone, i have had it 2 years and the display stopped working, Time for a new phone anyhow.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, good to text
