WoW WoW and WoW and wOw This is by far the best phone I have ever had. And the most fun too! Every day I learn something new. You can do anything on this phone. The sound is good, the touch screen is wonderful. Putting pics on each contact is fabulous. When someone calls I just see the picture. Neat! The looks of my phone is very stylish looking. Its very easy to read. What doesn't it have? I don't know. I would recommend this phone to everyone. In fact, my sister already bought one. And the price is fabulous and very competitive with ohers.Camera is great. Video
I would recommend this to a friend!

Gotta love the bright clean OLED display! Good reception. Good battery life - if you don't text or use the internet all day. I don't, and got 5 days out of it. The only bad is a really bad: to unlock the screen, you must either press the button located on the left-downward sloping side of the sliding keyboard which wants to just open up instead of unlocking the screen, or you must open and close the keyboard unnecessarily which could lead to flex connector early failure? Otherwise, I love the phone and will keep it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

But after having it for less than 6 months, I started having problems. The phone wouldn't allow me to do certain things or it would freeze. Luckily I have a warranty and exchanged it....but soon as I got the new one it did the same thing and now I am on phone #3 and am already having problems. I want to get another phone but ofcourse I am still under contract for this one....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My wife has had this phone for almost a year and the screen doesn't work anymore. It began having intermittent problems, then the colors were off, then it would go black when it was opened. Now, when the phone is turned on, the screen lights up, then goes black and stays that way. My daughter has the same phone and it is starting to have minor screen issues as well and it's only three months old. After looking online, it appears there are A LOT of other people having the same problem. This seems to be a design flaw and hopefully Samsung will recall this phone.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, color indicator changes without exposure to liquid
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Phone, but don't buy it for texting

I've had this phone for over 6 months at this point and have had an overall good experience with the phone.
The Good:
The screen is big, bright and responds accurately to touch. Phone calls are clear and rarely ever drop unless I have a bad signal (unlike my last phone, the Blackjack II).
It has many features I have yet to fully explore and I keep finding pleasant surprises within the pre-installed applications. The camera (something I rarely use in a phone) is feature-rich and takes remarkably good pictures for a cell phone.
And one may look at a phone this size and think it would be quite heavy, but that's not the case. In fact, the phone really isn't all that big compared to other phones I've had.
The Bad:
I'm a heavy texter and this phone is no good for texting. The slide out keyboard is nice, but the buttons are a little too sensitive at times (for instance, if I push down on the right side of the space bar, a period will appear in the middle of my sentence). The touch screen keys work nicely enough, though.
One major flaw that not a single review from a reputable source (ie CNET) seems to mention the problem with too many text messages stored on your phone. If I've received/sent a decent number of texts in a short period of time, I am unable to send or receive anymore until I reboot the phone. If I have too many messages stored in my phone (around 30 or so...including sent messages) I cannot send/receive nor can I delete messages until the phone is rebooted.
There are simple ways to avoid this problem (don't have your phone save sent messages, constantly delete your Inbox), but I still find myself rebooting my phone anywhere from once a day to three times a day. It's a minor annoyance, but the fact that this has been an issue for a long time tells me this problem will never be fixed.
In summary, a good, sturdy phone but if you're a medium to heavy texting kind of person, steer clear of this model. Of course, there isn't such a thing as a perfect phone seeing as you can find flaws in any phone on the market.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, not a good phone for texting
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Failure
on April 18, 2011

This phone was a complete failure. My wife and I both have this phone currently and can’t stand them. The first one my wife had the screen stopped working after 8 months. Got a new one and then it still has problems. The touch screen QWERTY key board hesitates horrible to the point you don’t know when or where its going to do what its going to do. My first phone I couldn’t use the physical QWERTY board because it would always double key random characters I typed. My wife’s first phone did the opposite. Now we both have newer phones of the same model and they are just as poorly made as the first set. But I must say now we both have the same problem the physical QWERTY is the only viable option to use on the phone. The phone works on the 3G network but it doesn’t matter your signal strength if you don’t have the 3G icon you can’t call or text, emergency calls only. I have also used the phone as my alarm clock since it has the feature on it but every now and again it like to mess up the time zones and therefore doesn’t register the proper time, hence me being late to work or school, hence it is unreliable. The great and wonderful world of texting is made more colorful in the fact that it might send the message, it might not, it just will stay on the “sending” screen till you correct the problem. Correcting the problem means powering off then on and waiting till its ready to work again, maybe. The is a slue of other minor irritations but that is just due to the poor design of the user interface, but I don’t think you want to read anymore, you should have already made up your mind
Pros: Bright display, video record capability
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, lock button location
