Occassionally the phone freezes, but restart brings it back. Outer materials are slippery, hard to hold on to. Otherwise a good phone.

This is a great but it seriously needs an update like promto.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: no updates

If you send a lot of text messages, do NOT buy this phone. It does not thread your messages; so, unless you can remember what you typed three hours earlier, you have no idea what you're replying to!
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no threaded text messaging

I've had this phone for 8 months and it has been the worst phone I have ever had. (Thankfully I am still covered under my year waranty and have needed 2 other phones becasue the other ones were not working properly either.) For the first month I loved it! But ever since then nothing has worked right. I never drop the phone and there is no water damage. It freezes and won't send text messages at random times, even when my inbox and outbox are empty. So I then need to restart the phone in order for them to send. Every 3-4 minutes of my conversations on the phone the calls are dropped. I had 4 dropped conversations/calls in 15 minutes one night. I cannot "multi-task" when I am on the phone even though there is a "multi-task buttton." I am unable to do this becasue the screen flashes on and off. Also, when I text, it cannot keep up with the speed that I text, therefore it skips words and letters. This in the end takes more time to go back and edit my entire text message. It will also randomly make spaces in my text messages and add periods and capitalize letters. Need I say more? This is my second Samsung phone and my first one (propel) just stopped working one day and I had only had the phone for 6-8 months. There seems to be a pattern.
Note: I know of at least 4 other people with the SAMSUNG Impression and ALL of them have the same problems that I have had and strongly dislike their phones.

I purchased 3 influenced by the quality, features and reliability of other Samsung products I own ( HT receiver & LCD TV's). Bad assumption. Withing the first 6 months the units touchscreen started to freeze up and they barely made it to the 12 months warranty coverage. It seems this product was released to the market without an acceptable reliability testing program. A frustrating experience overall. Never the less all faith is not lost; I just got the new Galaxys Captivate phone. It looks great but, time will tell.

I dont reccomend this phone to anyone who wants something reliable. Constantly had to turn my phone off and turn it back on in order to be able to send text messages. The phone often did not inform me I had text messages by popping a screen up. There would be nothing indicating I recieved a new text then I would go into my inbox and there would be tons of new messages.
Pros: Durable
Cons: Did not meet expectations, have to turn off and on constantly, freezing
