Haven't had this phone long, but so far I really like it. Very easy to navigate through the screens. One HUGE problem: the Studio Manager (to transfer music and pictures from computer to phone) does not come in a version for an IMAC. This is ridiculous in a time when IMACS are becoming so popular. Now I have no way to transfer photos and music. This needs to be taken care of asap!
I would recommend this to a friend!

We have experienced ALL of the problems many of the other commentors have experienced. With so many people having the same problems, I think they should have a recall on this phone. This is definitely not a user problem...this is a manufacture problem.
DO NOT get this phone!!! Sure, it's wonderful at first, but give it 6 months to a year, then that's when you start having problems. Insurance is definitely a MUST with this phone if you do decide to get it.
6 months after having my Impression, the touch screen went out. I took excellent care of it and NEVER dropped it. I lost EVERYTHING I had on my phone. Without the touchscreen, you can't retrieve your contact list, photos, audio, video, NOTHING! It was still under the year warranty, so I exchanged it. They sent me a refurbished one. Well, after 6 months, I started having texting problems with that phone. Another commentor listed all of the texting flaws and mine has ALL of them. Of course, the year warranty is up now, so I am stuck with a phone that is a pain to text with, plus, to make matters worse, the touchscreen on this one is starting to act up. I know it's only a metter of time before it goes out completely, so I have already backed up everything on my phone to my computer in preparation for when it goes out completely.
My husband bought this same phone a year ago when I did. His took longer to start experiencing problems, but 5 days ago, his touchscreen went out completely. We knew enough by now to back up everything on this phone, so he was able to save his stuff. Of course, his is out of the 1 year warranty period, so we are having to borrow an old cell phone until our contract is up in another year.
I don't know what we'll do when mine goes out for good. Anyone out there got an old phone I can borrow?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had this phone for a little under 5 months. The phone has nice features and good screen quality. However, these dont even matter because the phone wont work half the time. Ever since i got it brand new, i have to turn it off and back on 6 times every 24 hours to sent text and recieve service. Just recently, the touchscreen has went out and the screen will turn off randomly. I have taken care of my phone, it its just cheaply made. I have talked to 6 people who have once owned this phone and they all have got rid of them because of the same problems i am having.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Too big, Did not meet expectations, horrible user interface, touchscreen quality, needs more durability, cant have big ringtones, stops sending text randomly, stops recieving service randomly, hard to keep clean
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I went through 5 of the these before finally demanding that AT&T replace it with a different model that would operate for more than a month before becoming unintelligible. They sent me a Mythic -- same phone, basically, without the keyboard. It lasted 2 months before it developed the same problems as the Impressions. Garbage phones.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, becomes inoperable quickly
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Texting Freezes...
on June 17, 2011

I have had my Impression for over a year. I have had problems for the past 7 month with sending and receiving text messages. You can be sending text messages back and forth, then for no apparent reason, the phone freezes and you have to turn it off and back on to get the messaging to work. It is very irritating.I purchased this phone with a full keyboard to use for texting. After numerous calls my cell phone provider, I was told these phones have an unresolved issue with texting and there is no current "fix". So I'm not only stuck with a phone that doesn't work properly, I am stuck in a contract that I can't get out of.
Pros: Durable, high quality pictures
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, texting freezes
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This phone constantly freezes up with text messages and doesn't send them all the time. Touch screen freezes up sometimes and I have to remove the battery to even get it started back up. A friend told me there was a recall, and if there is i'm taking this phone back for sure!
Cons: Poor quality, Not high def, Did not meet expectations
