i do like this phone alot but there are some glitches. The hold button is in such a ridiculous place that its so hard to unlock it quickly. I see that others have said the same thing too. Guess there is no use in complaining about it the phone is already made, lol. other then that the camera and internet are awesome. the internet is almost to fast! Lol. Hate that it doesnt have flash but whatever. The qwerty keyboard is kind ofweird to. Overall it is a really cool phone!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Phone

I have had the Impression for two months and have had NO software problems, I have never missed a call because of the phone. I use the qwerty keyboard as well as the virtual one without incident. The battery started out strong, but goes quickly now regardless of use. I must have changed a setting. Even with my compromised hearing I can hear every call clearly. The display is the best on any phone I have ever had. The sliding mechanism is starting to loosen up which worries me, but so far no problems at all.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Phone

This phone has great features. The screen is great. The slide out keyboard has big buttons and is easy to use. However, it lacks a zoom function for the camera and voice dial. I have read all reviews. People who are having problems have a defective phone. Remember, this is not an iphone. If you are having problems with the unlock feature, just slide the keyboard out a little bit (does not even have to be all the way) and the phone will unlock.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the first Samsung that I have ever owned, it is user friendly. I am not up with the times as most are and the ease of use really helps me with texting. I have better coverage than I did with my other phone. I can now save all my pictures of my grandchildren and not run out of space as I did before. I will change my choice of name brand to Samsung, thanks for being a dependable product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good for a while

Two of my sons had this phone. It worked good for a while then the texting problems started. No problems as a phone, only when texting a lot did it become an issue. After a while the text feature stopped working and the battery had to be removed to get it to function again. It became a regular thing. Both kids had the phone replaced three times before switching to a different model.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, texting became a problem
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It won't last!

I've had this phone for less than 4 months, and so far I've taken excellent care of it. In spite of that, my touchscreen has completely stopped working in the past couple of days. I can still make and receive calls (if I know the number), but I can't access my address book, alarm clock, or any other menu option for that matter. All this is after I specifically questioned the salesperson regarding my concern about the lifespan of a touchscreen! I'm (obviously) completely fed up with this phone. All I can say is DON'T BUY IT!

Pretty Good Phone

I recently purchased this phone. I liked it the first week I had it. After that, the texting started to not work. When I try to send a text, sometimes it says, "service unavailable" after 30 minutes of texting!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perhaps you want something more for less

Perhaps you want a phone that Looks like and Iphone but doesn't act like and Iphone....this is a pretty good looking phone. functions....that is another matter.
There is no speed dial...the address will not be the same as the one you are used to anywhere. Unlike GREAT products like Samsungs BLACK JACK line this phone will not search contacts by anything but the first part of how it is stored. And how it is stored varies. In my case I uploaded my contacts to the phone Last name, firstname
But there are times where I Edit the information on the phone and the phone changes it to firstname last name.....confused???me too.
There is much much more I could say bad but the good is text.,...if you are a texting freack the phone is very good. the keyboaed is a little WIDE and hard to reach across especially if the phone is slippery which is all the time as it is very glossy. I have mine on a lanyard thank goodness or I would have dropped it at least a dozen times this week.
reception is good , blue tooth is really hard to sync up, I still have one headset that refuses to work with it at all.
All in all if you wanted a smart phone you should by one. If you are like me and had a smartphone and really want to cut the data leash (and the added cost) then this is a a good solid phone for the cross over.
I think Samsung can fix the problems with the address book pretty easily ....oh and DON"T use the software that came with the phone. So a search for the newest version and download it....no it does not say it works with the phone but it does and it allows sync to Outlook the included software does not.....
Someone at samsung dropped the ball on this one but if you do not mind doing the work they should have done right themselves you can enjoy the phone. So far I have.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
