It's the one!

I have had a couple of bad experiences with touch screen phones. I decided to give the Impression a try and I'm really glad I did. The screen is stunning, the slide out keyboard is bigger than most (Very nice) and I really am impressed with every aspect of the phone. If you're looking for a great phone, you can stop. Because this is the one!

I bought this phone last Summer and 6 mths later I was having to get a replacement cuz the touchscreen just went out. I couldn't do anything with it. So I got my replacement hoping that it would last me at least till I was eligible for an upgrade. Well it didn't. This weekend the touchscreen on this replacement just went out as well. I thought maybe it was me so I did some research and found a bunch of reviews online where people are complaining about the same issue. I honestly can't do a thing with it right now. And like others have said I had to turn mine off at least 2x a day cause it would freeze especially while texting. I wouldn't waste my money on this piece of junk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First purchase of a smartphone

Overall operation is great! Some minor problems... screen lock key is hard to get to. PC studio for Impression is pretty much worthless, but if you download the PC studio for the Eternity..it works great. You can even control your phone contacts with this version. Note quite sure what Samsung was thinking? But I am still happy overall with this phone! Great for email and web. I use it in my work to store service manuals and other documents for jobsites. Takes awhile to get around and view all, but you can do it! Great for pictures and video clips. Seems to have good battery life to get through the day. With the data cable you can go to just about any computer running at least XP, and plug in and transfer files back and forth from phone and computer. Of course in the bright sunlight, (as I'm sure with most others) it is hard to see the screen very well. I like the slide out keypad, as sometimes it is hard to get some functions done without it.
I have downloaded additional applications from other sourses, and of course some work...and some don't, but it's not the phone's fault. (satisfied so far)

great phone, but pc software is wrong on the websi

great phone. but if you want to sync it with your computer, you have to download the syncmanager IB5, not IB8 that is on the website. look for the samsung expression downloads for the pc software that works better with the phone.
other than that, it is a awesome phone !

Not being as tech savvy as my children, this phone is an easy transition from my old mobile into the world of texting and emailing for me.
Now, I can easily keep up to date with my kids no matter where I am or what I am doing or how far away they are.

I have had many cell phones and this is by far my favorite. I have seen complaints about the impression not being compatible with MAC, I have a macbook pro and files transfer via bluetooth effortlessly! The only complaint I have is the lock button, it is kinda tricky to push and hold on the side of the phone. Overall, this phone is well worth the purchase!

I bought one of these for each of my kids. One of the phones has been replaced 3 times the other twice. Always the screen quits working. This last time it broke which would have been the forth replacement, we decided just to upgrade and get a different phone. Would not recommend. Terrible quality.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, touch screen keeps breaking

I needed an updated phone so I could text and this was definitely the best purchase! It is easy to understand and easy to navigate. I am still learning some of the features, but that is something you have to do with anything new. I would absolutely recommend it to a friend. Love it, love it, love it!!
