Poor workmanship

I started out with a side-by-side model which was replaced due to multiple issues right out of the box. This unit arrived and it’s icemaker quit on day two, needless to say I no longer have an Electrolux refrigerator. I have an Electrolux dishwasher and duel fuel range as well. They’re okay, but I wouldn’t recommend them given their high price. I purchased the Frigidaire Pro line five years ago and was very happy, I expected Electrolux to be a notch or two better.

Not looking good

This unit was delivered to our home 3 weeks ago and the ice maker has caused us nothing but problems. It does not make cubes, but rather freezes sheets of ice on the bottom of and underneath the storage drawer. It defrosts itself, spilling water all over our kitchen floor and into the bins on the inside of the door. We can't remove the ice bin because it freezes shut. While I have a repair scheduled for 5/3/2011, I have little faith that the problem will be fixed based on many online reviews. Very disappointed in this unit. I hope this repair works. If not, I will send it back to the store where I purchased it. Until this problem is fixed, there is no way I would recommend this product.

Actual temp runs around 40 degrees. Ice maker drips constantly. Waste of money.

Think again!

This fridge is only a year old and we have had five service calls due to ice maker malfunctions. The icemaker is actually located in the refrigerator, not the freezer contributing to the inability to make ice. We have had a whole new icemaker installed, a new heating element installed, an actual upgrade to the icemaker (why didn't it come with this or at the very least been installed on the first service call?), etc. We are waiting once again for another repairman to come check it out. Problems began within a very short time; wish we had insisted on switching to another model. Don't make this same mistake!

Everything but the ice maker

We got the frig in December 2011 and have already had to have a repair person come to fix the ice maker. Since then it has been mostly OK, although it will stop dispensing ice for no reason that we can figure out, even when the container is full. (By the way, the repair person came quickly and was very good.)
Otherwise, we like the space in both the refrigerator and freezer, and other than fingerprints on the stainless steel, it is great.

Faulty Ice Maker

After several warranty repairs and countless hours on the phone with Elextrolux, we are finally getting a new fridge. Apparently the ice maker on this design has had lots of issues and they now have a new design. The warranty department is wonderful! However, if you own this model I suggest going ahead and extending your warranty.

Icemaker is useless.

I love my refrigerator but the ice maker is useless. It has been fixed several times in the 2 years I have owned it and it still leaks water out of it, it doesn't make enough ice for a family, and again the electronic board goes out every year. Th LED's in the info panel have already burned out and you can't see the temp of the sections. This needs a longer warranty to cover all the repeated problems, When you invest in a good product you expect it to last, Electrolux will go out of business in the US if they can't produce a quality product and service the customers.
Now for the good part, I like the layout of the unit w/ French Doors and the pull out freezer. I talso fits nicely in the space and is easy to clean.
