FOUR REPAIR CALLS IN LESS THAN A YEAR!

Let me first say that the product is beautiful, the shelves the lighting the refrigeration... that is what makes me so sad. I have had two ice makers go out and twice when the power went out the control panel fried out and had to be replaced by a backordered

Best Refrigerator Ever

When researching various makes and models of refrigerators the Electrolux EW28BS71IS fit our requirements perfectly. The first thing that came to our attention was the quality of the product. The fit and finish was head and shoulders above all other high end refrigerators we reviewed. Additionally, the product is efficient, quiet, reliable and adds a touch of class to our kitchen. The dual water filtration system is superior to the other manufacturers models and the filter is also easier to replace. If you're looking for a quality product that will give you reliable, trouble-free service for many years, Electrolux is worth the money and certainly worth your consideration.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Small Details

Unfortunately above recommendations choices left me with stating Probably Not because I can't honestly say it's amazing.
Biggest concern is that the refrigerator is not on wheels. When we went to move it to level, one of our hardwood floor boards was deeply gouged. Disappointed that it is not on wheels, like our previous refrigerators were.
Also, the ice maker does not have a tray so there is always white water marks which distract from the beauty of this appliance.
Absolutely no complaints regarding the interior. Love the room inside.

If looks were everything

Unfortunately they are not, this Tuesday we will have the fourth repair in less than a year. The ice maker has been replaced twice, the main electronic board under the unit was replaced with the first two weeks, and one of the doors and closing piece had to be replaced when we got the unit.
We left the freezer drawer open by 1/2 inch twice and the freezer temp went into the high 40's before we realized it, there was no open door alarm (should be). This also begs the question is why won’t the doors close by gravity like all other refrigerators we owned....
Also as someone else mentioned, the ice maker can shut off if a door is open, that means that all of the ice melts and makes a real mess.
For the money we spent we should hot have all of these problems.

Great fridge if ti wasn't for the Ice Maker

We purchased this fridge in Feb 2010. Shortly after the purchase the ice maker kept having problems not dispensing cubed ice or making ice. After numerous technician repairs it was decided to replace the fridge in Aug 10. Since then I have had to a a repair tecnician come our another four times to fix this one's ice maker. I am now trying to get this replaced with another one which does not have the resturant style Ice maker (Cylindrical with the hole in the center). I love all other features of this product. Avoid this product with the resturant style ice maker.

Lots of problems

Replaced all of our kitchen appliances with Electrolux. Oven, dishwasher, cook top and pop-up vent/exhaust work just fine, but the refrigerator (most expensive of the bunch) has been a major disappointment. Within just these first few months, the appliance repairman has been here about 5 times, replacing various parts on the fridge. The icemaker seems to be the most troublesome issue, as it has been completely replaced, and still doesn't work.

Must buy a another ice maker

The unit is well laid out and very quiet. We really Like the style and features. The only downside to this unit is the Icemaker and water dispenser. It has never produced enough ice ...A few cubes a day and the water dispensed is always WARM. You get a little ice but the water is so warm it melts the ice. Very poor design.
