Read The Manual First

This is my first "all-in-one" and I made the mistake of treating it like a printer. After a few sad scan results I went onliine and read the Users Manual; I'm very happy with the quality of scans now. You really have to get the settings right, whether for scanning or printing; if you take a few minutes to click the right options, you'll be rewarded with some of the best prints (especially photos) you've ever gotten. The ink cartridges are too small and WAY too expensive. That's my only complaint.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had an old epson printer which finally died just before Christmas while I was printing cards. I do a lot of printing using photos.The difference between my old printer and Artisan 710 was the difference between day and night. I expected it to be better (it was new) but it exceeded my expectations. the speed and color and ease of use were so much better. I have not tried the scanner as yet so I have no comment on that. max

A Workhorse

It is a great machine - low cost - cartridges are affordable and separate - can do lots - and best of all wireless. Great Buy and wise investment for a small business owner like myself. I would recommend highly to my friends since I did own an Epson many moons ago and it gave me many years of service!!

Great Printer

I purchased my Epson Artisan 710 in October 2009. My previous printer was an Epson Stylus Photo 890 but this one far surpasses that printer in print quality and speed. The print quality is excellent even at high speed. I do a lot of photo printing and the photo quality is as good as any lab prints. I like the multiple color ink cartridges as you only need to replace the color which is expended instead of entire color cartridge as on my previous printer, and they are easy to replace. It prints CD/DVD covers. The control panel is easy to use. The scanner/copier works great, and I have had no problem at all with regular or photo paper feeds. Have not experienced any paper jams as I have seen commented on in other reviews. Another great feature is the automatic duplexer which can automatically print double sided documents without the need to print one side and then reinsert the paper.
Cons: This printer only accepts one envelope size (#10) which is a real negative if you enjoy creating greeting cards as I do. The inks are a little expensive, but they seem to last a good while (I would recommended using the High Capacity ink cartridges for longer life). The only other down side, to me, is the paper tray is a little flimser in construction than I would have expected from Epson.

I have owned and used several Epson printers over the years and I keep replacing each with another Epson. I have used others at work and with friends. The 710 produces great, clear, reproductable prints. It is my opinion there isn't another similarly priced printer currently available that compares in price or print quality and speed.

i love this printer. it is fast prints beautiful pictures. very easy to use. love that 2 side auto print. i have had several epson printers through the years and this one is the best. the ink is not expensive. i have a small business and it works great for me. i highly recommend this all in one printer.

Directions were very easy to understand. Set up time was fast. (thanks to great step by step instructions)
Pictures come out looking great.
Haven't used all the features yet, but I am sure they will be a breeze.
This is the best printer I have ever had.
I like the front load tray so if I want to put the printer on a shelf, I don't need to worry about reaching in back to load paper.
I also like the styling of it.
