I did alot of research on the web when my Stylus 595's printheads clogged and would NOT unclog. I even thought about getting an HP after learning that their print heads are in the ink cartridge, not the printer. As I kept researching, I realized, Epson is the only printer that does EVERYTHING I need to do. (ie. I need to print photos of my artwork and direct print CD's when sending out images of my artwork). I ordered the Artisan 710. This is my 5th Epson printer and WOW it is amazing! The improvement in print speed and quality from my 595 is noticeable! Pros: quick to set up. instructions were cake! I set up direct wire to Mac desktop and wireless to PC laptop. Both worked 1st time, like a dream! Photo printing is really, I mean REALLY good. Printer is fast AND quiet. ( I don't get what reviewers who say it's noisy and shakes are talking about. Mine does neither of these.) Cons: Paper tray and output trays are really flimsy! I'm loading different kinds of paper and cardstock all of the time and I'm careful, but both trays are so flimsy that I don't think they will last long. Paper tray is hidden under the printer. For those of us who switch papers all of the time it makes for hassle or wasted printing since you can't see what paper is in the tray and sliding the tray out every time you print is going to ensure that the flimsy tray has a short life.

I've owned all the printer makes in my long life and the Epson Artisan 710 is the absolute best, it actually thinks for itself. almonst scary. You just have to own one to realize how precise and colorful it can be compared to other manufacturers.

The Epson Artisan 710 All-in-One Printer installed with my Win 7 machine flawlessly. Prints much faster than my old inkjet printer. Scans. Copies. Even prints on both sides of the paper without manually turning over the paper. I'm thrilled.

I am a Professional Photographer and I have 4 810 Printers and they are great, I have had them for about 5 Months now. They are wonderful except the Paper Trays are kind of flimsley so you have to be Careful. As far as the 712 Artison Printer, I ran 75 8x10 Photos Through it and it didn't miss a Beat. I would recomend this printer to everyone also the 810. I wore out my 1800 & 1900 Printers in 2 Years.

I set up this 710 for wireless networking with two laptops. One laptop runs Vista and the other runs W7. It was a snap. Follow the directions and you can't go wrong. Easy to set up, and makes great sharp prints. Great buy.
