It is little noisy."Good price when I bought it. It is little noisy. Didn't realize that the USB cord was not included. The paper feeding trays are very flimsy. You can only load a small amount of paper at a time. The wireless portion does not work. I have a MAC and have had lots of problems with setting up the WIFI. The Wifi is not reliable and sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't. I finally got a USB cord and just use this.

I like this printer quite well. Used to have a top-of-the line printer of another brand and this printer is better color. Took about an hour to set it up. The paper loader which is closed will take some getting used to--it is not as convenient as an open-loading tray. I LOVE the double-sided printing, especialy for greeting cards which I make a lot of.

I owned and happily used an Epson RX580 for years. When it (sadly) stopped working, I ordered an Epson Artisan 710, based on the description offered here at the Epson store. For this printer, you have to load the paper like an old style photocopy machine. You need to "pinch and push" levers into place to secure the paper - not an easy task for someone with arthritis. (not mentioned in the description) You also cannot expect paper not purchased from Epson to work in this printer. Even if that paper worked with your previous Epson printer.
Bottom line, this printer is unusable, unacceptable and is now in the trash.

I have had the Epson 710 for about 2 weeks now and am very pleased with its set-up and operation.
The machine itself has a sleek look in its glossy and flat black appearance The front panel for managing the all in one functions is easy to navigate, and once again, the control panel appearance is pleasing to the eye.
There are 3 computers in the home so the 710's WIFI networking was a significant factor in the buying decision. I wasn't disappointed.
The WIFI set-up was pretty much automatic in my established network The accompanying software did all the work and I just observed as it established connectivity with the 3 computers. There was some difficulty with the last computer connection that required me to run the "retry" 2 times, but eventually it was connected.
The page print time is quite rapid compared to my old CX4800, and the regular and photo paper storage areas are easy to manage.
All in all, I am quite pleased with the purchase of my "all in one"

I have used this printer for around 500 prints. Now it says I have to replace the ink pads. I downloaded the program, but cannot use it until I take this to a dealer who will install new ink pads.
I have owned several printers and this has never happened.
I just wanted a fast printer..........this wasn't the one to buy.
Very unhappy and will purchase another printer that does not have to have ink pad replaced!

Disappointed

The color transition from my screen to the printed copies is not good with background, text, or fill color translation. The tones are much lighter and print preview shows what is on the screen. Photos come out beautiful. I haven't tried the scanner or copier, so I can't comment on those. I had also expected OCR software with the scaner but it was not included. Generally, I love Epson products.

Works very well, except it won't print front to back on Mac Snow Leopard.
