My New Epson Artisan 710 Printer

I bought this printer on-line after an extensive review of many printers. I chose the #710 as it seemed to have very good features and several good reviews. The price of ink refills was also a factor, being reasonably low.. Delivery was promised in 3 working days. It arrived in 2 1/2 days. Good unpacking instructions were supplied. Set up of initial operation took about 1/2 hour and all went well. I found the instructions for cartridge alignment totally confusing, so I skipped that. All operating features work very well. I like both the speed of printing and the quiet mode. In just 3 days I have not tested all possible activities that can be used, but black printing is excellent, color printing is both fast and resolution & color are very good. I like the product and pleased with my choice. The price was just right.

I had a Epson CX6600, for six years, and was pleased with the Epson Product, and it was time to upgrade, to a new all in one printer, after shopping and looking at all makes and styles, I went back to the Epson, big reason was its dependability, and the most bang for the money. I am very pleased with Epson artrisan 710. I do wish the instructions were more easy. But other than that. Epson Artisan 710 is a great all in one printer. I give it five stars.

This printer replaces an Epson Stylus Photo R320, which had terminally clogged nozzles.
This unit is GREAT! It is quiter, faster and was a breeze to set up (Snow Leopard found both the printer and scanner right away, no loading any drivers at all!). I have both plain paper letter size and 4x6 photo paper loaded AT THE SAME TIME! Photo quality is much better that the R320 as well.
I like the help tutorials and videos on the Epson website... I found out how to print on CDs with a great video tutorial.
All in all, I am very pleased with the purchase!

My First Real Printer

I've purchased my share of $30 printers and I got sick of these printers dying within 2 years. My wife prints a lot of photos so we need a work horse! The 710 is HEAVY! I took this as a good sign! And it prints 4x6 photos FAST. I've had epson printers for about 6 years straight and hopefully this won't be my last!

Good price when I bought it. Didn't realize that the USB cord was not included. The paper feeding trays are very flimsy. You can only load a small amount of paper at a time. When I print photos, I can only do 1 page at a time, or paper gets jammed. The wireless portion does not work. I have a MAC and have had lots of problems with setting up the WIFI. I called the tech support and they were great, but the Wifi is not reliable and sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't. I finally got a USB cord and just use this. Once one color runs out, you can not print anything until you replace it. Very annoying feature. But...the prints are great. Printing regular paper copies is only soso..the copies always look a little blurry.

the color quality is fine, but be sure and use epson paper, or they won't guarantee the quality. i used a different presentation matte paper for my calendars, and they printed fine, except i kept getting messages that the paper was out (wrong), or paper jam, so it would just quit printing.
