I can't believe it!

I have had Epson printers for over 10 years. I have made the follow-up purchases as upgrades to the previous model. The Artisan 710 is without question the best one I have ever had. It is so simple to use, I initially was having difficulty. I was adding steps to the printing process based upon the previous model. I decided to read the directions, sat back and I got the best pictures ever. Printing on discs has been a hobby of mine. Once I got out of the way, even this process was easy with great results. Everyone should have one.

Excellent for Forensic Photo Processing

As an I.T. director for a forensic consultant company we purchased one of these to start off with as an in lab use printer for printing out processed evidence to proof before sending over to a full blown professional printer and turns out this one printed out a better looking picture faster and easier than the professional unit did. We now use this unit to scan in fingerprints in order to process in photoshop and then print out the images immediately. I have since ordered 3 more of these units (one that travels on the road for consulting projects) and they have worked flawlessly. Several of our contractors to have used these units ended up buying one for themselves shortly after due to the high quality aspects of it. We are more than pleased and Im sure will be buying more!

Very disappointed

We bought this printer in February thinking we finally have a good printer we can keep for a long time. It is now mid-August and it is finished. It no longer prints in beautiful color. The color is faded and no matter that we put in all new ink it still will not print in full color. It won't even print in plain black and white. We are very disappointed with this printer and would not recommend it to anyone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent colof

This purchase was mostly for direct printing on DVDs for our family picture archives. The results are outstanding and allow me to provide picture discs for the 20 members of our extended family. For all other uses it is really great. However, one must choose top quality paper for printing photos. I tried using standard gloss paper for laser printing and the results if using the gloss setting was not good. But when using good quality photo paper the results were superb.

Great Upgrade

I have had this printer only a couple of days and am very pleased with its preformance. It replaces an Epson Stylus RX500 that served me well for the past five or six years. I consider it a great upgrade -- it is faster, print quality is improved, more features, takes up less space, and was much less expensive. I'm sure as time does on I will have the opportunity to test most of the features.

Best ever

Wireless desktop setup was easy and connected to printer without any complications. Connection with laptop was as easy. Photo quality is by far the best I have seen and fast to print. Highest quality photos, took a little longer. Standard print for photos is great at 10 seconds to print. Color pages are great and also quick to print. I like the low profile and good looks. Thank you, Epson.
