This is the third epson we are trying to use, the other two an artisan 800 and a stylus photo R2400 have been great. The new artisan 810 takes approx. 45 seconds to print one page. We have redone the settings multiple times, reinstalled drivers etc. nothing seems to help.

I had it so far for less than a week. I purchased it mainly for use to print on white blank DVD & CD. As tested it does a fabulous job. I can't believe the high quality of printing. It is yet to be tested in other jobs. I like in particular the wireless connection and printing from Iphone capability. The printer is well made and easy to use. It exceeded my expectation.

Love this printer. Installs easily and is a great network wireless printer. I use all features of this machine. Have never had a problem with it. I have 3 towers and 2 laptops in my network no problem. Some running XP some running vista and on running Windows 7. Works with them all.

Complicated to understand

They should provide you with a USB cable. If they won't do that, they should at least tell you what kind of cable to get. Some people don't know one kind from another.
Loading an envelope is a pain, unless it can be loaded into the photo tray, which I haven't tried. Their instructions for loading paper include taking the paper tray and paper out & changing the guides, which is medieval.
It's really noisy when it's getting ready to print.
One positive thing: It prints at the speed of light.
It prints the first page first. I can't find a way to make it print the last page first so I won't have to sort them after all are printed.
The paper catcher tray appears to be of low quality.
I haven't trired faxing or photoprinting yet. I imagine they're going to be as confusing as everything else.

Only had it a short while but everything seems to be working as advertised. Setup for the scanner was a little confusing but it all came together. Set up the ethernet/wireless connection for my desktop and my laptop. Printing, scanning, faxing, etc working fine.

Hard to beat...

I've had mine for over a year.
The faults are not many, I'd say that another paper tray so that one can have the photo paper and regular paper without having to switch would be a huge bonus, and a manual feed for thick paper would also be a great improvement.
How good is it? as the 835 is out, the 810 is being sold on sale, at a price that is so good that I simply bought a second machine is case something was to break on mine. I don't believe that anyone can make a better machine for many years to come.
How simple is it? my kids have been able to take to it instantly.
How's the quality? Pictures are amazing. But printing photos on regular paper is not at all recommended, but graphics are fine. But I consider this printer as a photo machine, so printing in regular paper is limited.
The duplex, fax capacity, scanning, have all been easy and great.
As this printer was an upgrade from a R200, the speed difference is amazing.
Overall, I have recommended this printer to everyone looking for a new printer, as I'm used to Epson's quality and know that I've never had regrets.
I've even had to built an extension to my desk, and part of it was to custom built a space for it as I regard this printer to be part of the "family" for a long time.

This was extreamly easy to install!! I am not that advanced in doing things like this.. I dreaded hooking this up to my computer because of past printers. I was so shocked as to how easy it was. It prints beautiful pictures too!
