I would purchase this product again without giving any consideration other than the customer service I have received. I was helped with the setup and the disk printing issue I encountered. The CD printing software is much better than others available. The unit may be seem to be quirky. My experience is that once set up correctly, it performs as it should.

Epson Artisian 800 Printer

I have had Epson printers for more than 20 years and this new breed Artisian printer 800 I just purchased, set up and used by far is one of the finest! I have 4 Epson printers I use for all sorts of applications up to a 16x20 photo size. This all in one unit will now take the place of two smaller units (Im keeping for back-up's only) and also save me space in my home studio office by getting rid of a scanner, 2 printers and a fax machine! The photo quality is better than my pro lab! Prints fast, silent and the fax is also very fast! Highly recommend everyone getting one of these, and the price point too is amazing!

GREAT PRINTER!

I had the Epson Artisan 800 and now upgraded to the Epson Artisan 810 model. Both are GREAT machines, but the 810 seems to be the improved version of the 800. Let me tell yuou the truth! This machine can produce "VERY" high quality pictures that will just blow your mind once you print them out. The "key" is to use the Epson ink and the Epson photo paper. I've tried other brands of paper and got poor results except for the HP paper. It was OK, but NOT as sharp as the Epson paper is. The "control panel" clicks when lifted up. To put it DOWN, you "MUST" press the button for that panel to lower it back into it's relaxed position. Just make SURE that no kids play with the panel and it will work perfectly. Some try to push it down manually and that will mess one up in a heartbeat. That's the ONLY flaw I see with the machine.
I've lost a LOT of my eyesight due to Macular Degeneration and I have been looking for a printer with an EXTRA LARGE view screen and the Epson 800 and the Epson 810 had it for me. I thank God (and Epson) every day for this feature. This machine will do you a GREAT job so don't hesitate to dig a little deeper in your pocket or purse and buy this printer. You won't be disappointed.

This is a fantastic printer! Not only is it sleek and easily closed to prevent dust from entering but it is sure a workhorse and perfect for home or small business. It is very easy to use, it's loaded with features that easily allow you to to print 2-up duplexes so if you have to print a long instruction manual you can condense 4 pages into 1 which saves a lot on paper. The wireless features work flawlessly and the bright colored interactive touch screen is just the icing on the cake for sophistication!

Bought this printer to replace an older inkjet printer that we had been using for about 8 years. We were looking for multi-function capability, and high-compatability with Mac Snow Leopard. This printer has so far impressed us greatly. We cannot comment yet on ink consumption, but our prints are very nice ( great photo printing quality on Epson paper ). We are currently using the printer in a mixed Mac/Windows environment. Wireless printing from both machines, as well as wireless scanning. I would recommend picking up a small thumb drive if you scan a lot of multi-page documents. Simply plug in the thumb drive, load your documents in the document feeder, hit the scan button, and save them to the thumb drive... once finished, simply plug the thumb drive into your computer ( couldn't get this function to work wirelessly... scanning a single document is no problem wirelessly ). All in all, if you are looking for a great printer, with great Snow Leopard compatibility, this is it. Quick, easy set-up... wireless functionality, good quick printing and awesome photo printing.
Highly recommended.
Do: Use the Epson photo papers, and get the latest drivers from both Apple and Epson if you are installing for Snow Leopard.

Was originally looking at the 710 but decided on the 810. The most difficult part of getting up and running was unpacking it. It is on my home wireless network and once I had been able to print from 1 of the home PCs I went ahead an downloaded the latest driver for Vista 64. After a short time online and with the updated drivers loaded on all PCs everything works as advertised. It is great to go on to the control panel and pick the PC to scan to or scan from any of the PCs- but it did take it some time to find all of them but now everything is as advertised. Great printing and pics so that I have no regrets retiring my CX6600.

I am a Photographer and just love the way that the prints come out and the way that it is so easy to set up to the internet. Being a photographer I have to be sure that all my prints are great not only that I can print my CDs and Cases.
