Great SOHO printer

I recently purchased the Artisan 810 as a second (back-up) printer for home and small office use. Because of its many features and ease of use, it quickly became my "default" printer. I'm impressed with how much functionality and quality is packed into this powerhouse of a printer. Thanks for making high capacity cartridges available for this model. And the duplex printing helps me save on paper costs. A winner in my book.

USE UP INK A LOT

I really like the product's feature; however, this printer consume the ink so quickly that I had to change the black ink cartridge twice in one and half month.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fast Setup, Great Prints

This printer was very easy to set up and use directly out of the box. Wireless set up was effortless. I purchased it primarily to print on CD/DVD which it does very well. The added bonus of being able to get it off my desk and on the credenza with the wireless can't be beat.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good Printer

I use the printer primarly to print photographs and printable DVDs. The DVD label program provided with the printer works good. I needed more capability to print the DVD labels and I installed Sure Thing CD labeling program. A software tweak was needed from Epson to allow my labeling program to work correctly.
My 4x6 pictures, printed on Epson Glossy paper, are great most times but I have instances where the picture is way too dark when finished.
The scanning works great. I have not sent a FAX since I have installed the printer.
It set up easily and was operating quickly when I first installled it. The setup insstructions were easy to follow and worked.
I am on my first set of ink cartridges so I have little experience on how far the cartridges will go. I have an impression that the ink use is greater that my previous Epson. That may be due to the dark photographs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wireless is great

The Artisan 810 is a great printer for home or business. One of the best features is having it wireless. With no wires to hook up, everyone in the house can print off of it from anywhere. The automatic feed for the scanner also saves a lot of time if you have multiple scans or many pages to print. Print quality is superb. I like the multiple ink cartridges for best color, but they don't seem to last very long.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Choice!!

I was looking to replace a very old multi-function machine and read numerous reviews for possible candidates. I had used Epson printers in the past and had always been satisfied with the functionality as well as cost (initial and ongoing). When I saw the features of the 810 and a great price, I was sold. Set-up was easy and thus far it is working great!! Print quality is very good and it is not an "ink hog".
The only drawbacks I can see are:
a) the front control panel could be a problem in households with small children if this printer is not on a stand they can't reach;
b) it isn't friendly with my company's VPN (for scanning only), everything works fine on my home wireless network!
I believe anyone with a small or home office would be very happy with this product!

What a wonderful printer for my RV. Excellent photo quality and all the rest besides! Had a little trouble getting running with Snow Leopard but the phone service was terrific and took care of the problem in minutes.
I would recommend this to a friend!
