Great, with 1 caveat
on November 23, 2010

This fulfills our small business needs quite well.
The only weak spot, and this is minor, is the flimsiness of the paper holder that folds out. I'm always refilling the paper tray w/ paper and I'm afraid that the paper holder will snap one of these times. That said, it's been almost a year & nothing has happened, so yeah, it's a caveat about something that hasn't happened yet.

The Epson 810 is a wonderful outstanding wireless printer. The print quality of photos is very good and the speed is great. The setup is really simple and the touch screen is a nice feature. Besides being a really good all around printer, it looks good too. I recommend it very highly.

Ahh, the Epson Artisan 810.. It has been a great encounter.
My Ep (Short for the real name) does what is being asked to do and does it with a flourish.
My Ep is reliable, easy to operate, sophisticated and very capable of doing everything in my small world.
My Ep faxes, copies, prints photos, prints two sided document.
I really like my Ep.!
The best thing I like about my Ep is the great quality of printed documents, photos and documents in general.

I bought this printer after many hours of reading reviews on line from just about every review site available. I learned that every printer out there has good and bad reviews however, what cought my attention, was the vast amount of reviews the Epson 810 had. Right away I knew that a whole lot of people realy wanted to talk about this specific printer. There where over 1,200 reviews and it still avraged 4.5 out of 5 stars. Most of the bad reviews had to do with compatability with operating systems other than windows. I use windows, so I was Ok with that. Right away I went out and bought the last two they had at my local retailer. The set up and instructions were very easy and clear. After set up I started to check out the things that the very few reviews said were bad about this unit. One issue was the paper tray. They said it was very flimsy and hard to load. This is true however, unlike other brands this tray is inclosed which protects it from harm and reduces dust from entering the printer. It is harder to load paper becuase its inclosed but I don't use much anyway. One of the other reviews gave it one star. He was mad about when printing a Photo, they were getting vertical lines on every print. This happened on my first few pictures too. After talking to Epson Tech Support, ( which was top notch I might add), they had me go to the printer properties and change the settings to Photo and uncheck the "FAST PRINT" box. I then had the most beautiful prints I ever seen. I'm sure this was that persons same problem. The last isue I read was about the waste ink filter that saturates and stops all opperation of the printer. Unless you do a supper lot of printing each day, under normal use it should last for years. But with a two year warranty "If registered", and the support tech assuring me they would replace the printer if it quit working within the warranty period, I felt good with that. I love it so far, but only time will tell.

The unit was very easy to intall on my computer. I have a Windows 7 enviornment and some previous programs have been difficult but not so with this unit. I like the features of the unit and the overall quality of the output. I think this ones a winner. This unit is being run through a router and I have several other computers tied in with no problems.

I have found Epson products to be the highest quality in printing pictures and cards and easy to operate. With that said, I still have to learn to use the double sided printing (new feature for me). I have already used the new program, included, for making special cards, etc. No more pouring through the stores for cards. These are one of a kind with my pictures on them.

Artisan 810 is nearly perfect

I could not be happier about the quality of print, ease of configuration on the network, and wireless connectivity. I am still using the original cartridges so I don't know yet how long before I have to supply new ink. Prints well from several different computers, Mac and Windows.
