Epson Artisan 810 all-in-one printer works great!

My old Epson R300 (with CD/DVD printer) finally needed the new print heads, so we broke down and bought a new "all-in-one" to replace it. The Artisan 810 works great! CD/DVD printer feature is built in, the new touch screen is great for many features, and we charge up my wife's new IPod Touch through the USB access. The scanner works nicely, the set-up for the Wi-fi works great with our Airport Extreme (read some online reviews of how to download the latest drivers FIRST and go through all the set up steps correctly), and the duplexing and ability to check the ink levels via the computer are great. And having paper and some photo sheets always in the trays are a nice feature.
Have not yet used the document feeder nor the fax machine, sorry to report.

For the money it doesn't get any better

My Epson 810 hasn’t been free of problems, but the problems were with me not the machine. I really don’t like change; change that is that evolves having to learn things that I will use only one time. That is why I rely so much on the Epson support. That is why I really love my machine. When you call for set up, they ask what you tried if anything, then just get to work setting it up, configuring and testing the features of the machine. In just a few minutes you’re up and running.
This is my third Epson; I don’t foresee me changing to another brand. The ink is of a very good quality and cost effective. For the money it doesn’t get any better than this. Epson is definitely makes a dependable piece of equipment with the Epson 810 in the lineup.

Epson Artisan 810 All-in-One Printer

Very easy to setup, written and on screen instructions were a breeze to follow. I did an intitial setup for printing digital photos and I found the Artisan easy to use especially the on screening viewing of photos, cropping features, etc. I produced a few images just for a test and the color quality and clarity were excellent. Very pleased with my purchased.

Overall the printer is exactly what I wanted. The step by step set-up was for the most part very easy. I had the Rx 680 before and the Cd/Dvd tray was a pain. The new set up is 100% better. The instruction booklet could and should be written a little better.
If this was your first printer you could get lost quickly. It reads like a computer geek wrote it not thinking about the poor slob just starting out who knows very little about computers. Please take a second look!
I do love the printer, have two laptops and a desktop connected and all work quite well.

This is the quickest ink jet printer I have ever had. I looked at reviews on line as well as Consumer Reports and chose this model. When trying to set it up it asked for a lot of info that I thought, oh brother I have no idea where to find this. Instead I told it to set itself up and it did. I love this machine for that alone. I highly recommend this. I work from home and usually use a laser printer for work stuff but have uses this and been very pleased.

This is a perfect printing solution for every situation whether home or office, networking or non-networking.
One of the strinking feature of the printer is the look, elegant black with large LCD touch menu, which I like a lot about the simplicity and well organized menu. Wireless and wire networking task to set up is easy, as long as you carefully read the included set up booklet.
The printing operation is unexpectedly quieter than older Epson's models.. That is a plus

The Epson 810 is a perfect match!!! It does everything we need, and does it simply and very little human input.
All funtions and interfaces are well conceived. You can be either 'PC Centric' and do everything from your PC, or you could be copier centric, and do almost everything just standing there at the copier, and get almost everything done. Very simpple controls. You even have the option to 'print' your document to the Epson FAX, which bypasses the paper and simply sends a high quality fax. Epson included a few iof these 'nicely done' features you will learn and love. There are only 2 buttons on the command panel, everything else is touch-screen as needed.
