Amazing Printer

About two months ago, I purchased the Artisan 810. Although I had been looking for a printer for a couple of years or so, when I made the actual decision to purchase the Epson, I did so very quickly. Up to the time I purchased it, I had never even considered Epson. Now, I am so thankful that I talked with a sales rep that directed me to the very best! I was extremely interested in getting a printer that could produce high-quality, professional-looking photographic prints. That was what caused me to put off buying a printer -- I just didn't know which way to go. The 810 is fabulous! If I would have known about the quality of Epson sooner, I'm sure I wouldn't have waited so long. I'm so pleased with the quality and couldn't ask for anything better! It is so user-friendly -- it only took minutes to set up and begin printing. I haven't even connected it to my computer yet, as I'm having way too much fun!

Easy Setup

Right out of the box, this printer quickly found my wireless network. The install disk had hardly stopped spinning and my MacBook picked up the printer. Too easy so far, the real test would be our desktop Windows machine, old and not wireless. To my surprise and delight, the desktop found the printer as fast as the laptop. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, but not a hitch. Easy set up, great prints and fast. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended!

Prints great home photos, touch screen panel makes it user friendly, document feeder works great. Was concerned about pulling out tray that catches paper been too flimsy when I bought it ... but have not had any problems or concerns with it. Overall, been a great multi-function home printer that printers great photos.

Artisan 810

By the numbers: 1. Relatively easy set up; everything works as described. 2. FAX does not work on Mac OS-X because it requires Windows Fax service. Everything else is the same on OS-X Snow Leopard and Windows 7 (Home and Professional). 3. The paper RECEIVING tray is light weight, but not particularly fragile. Has not been a problem. 4. No problems with sheet feeder. 5. Text is not great, but certainly acceptable. 6. Photos are excellent.
Overall: A good Multi-purpose at a very good price.

Don't Buy this Printer!

If you would like to spend more in purchasing paper, than the actual cost of the printer, then this printer is for you! This printer constantly jams and misfeeds paper. The duplex printing only works about 50% of the time. The only plus of this printer is its photo printing quality. Only buy if you plan on printing photos, for everything else, its useless!

Epson Artisan 810 All-in-One Printer

Amazing at the way this printer operates in so many modes seamlessly. With built in two sided printing, copy and scanning along with FAX it offers a total combination with a relatively small footprint. Add to that a built in tray for CD or DVD printing and the ability to load photo paper (4x6 or 5x7) along with your standard paper sizes and you have a great machine. Best of all, are the separate ink cartridges that allow you to change only the color you are out of without sacrificing other inks in the 3 in one cartridges of other printers. For those colors that you use most often, there are high capacity cartridges so you do not have to reload as often. A great photo all in one printer at a reasonable price.

Epson has done it again in creating the follow-up to the Artisan 800. This latest printer has every convenience that a serious individual/home office user could ever need. Copy in B&W/Color, Fax, beautiful color pictures, camera SD card slot, wired or wireless. They thought of everything at a very affordable price. I was so impressed, I ordered two, one for a birthday present!

My second Artisan

This is a second Artisan. I have been so pleased with the Artisan 800 I have used for the past year that I purchased a second one to use at our lake home. Exceptional photo quality and the ability to print on DVDs is an outstanding asset of the printer.
