This is my first all in one printer and I did alot of research of other printers on the market. I found this printer easy to setup including the network. Print quality is excellent, ink useage is good. The scanner and the program for it is great, love the printable cds/dvds. I haven't used the fax yet but I do have it setup. I networked this printer with my wife's labtop and she loves the way it is so easy to print from her computer. It is a little loud when it starts to print but with all the great features of this printer noise is not a issue. I am thinking about buying another one for the office.

Artisan 810 comments

My Artisan 810 was purchased to do everything it will do, however, the reason for choosing it was a no-brainer. I needed a printer to print on ink-jet printable CDs and DVDs. It performs this admirably with bright, clear photos, graphics, and lettering. No other printer of which I am aware will do this.
The built-in disc tray is an improvement over the Stylus Photo RX200 and RX580 machines I have owned. Sometimes I need to print as many as 60 discs, and other than the nuisance of changing the discs, it does this at a reasonable speed. The"Print CD" software is somewhat proprietary and has some quirks, but still can be learned, and does a good job on most things. I particularly like the feature of being able to capture frames of video from my editing program and printing them as graphics for that video's label. However, I have not yet learned how to transfer my previous printers' "Epson Print CD" files when I need to make copies of previously made discs.
The Artisan 810 copies documents and photos clearly and faster than other printers I have used. The multiple card slots and USB connection charging capabilities are helpful. It scans and faxes well, and is truly an all-in-one. The document feeder is a bonus, and works well.
One operational negative is that he LED screen requires a sharp, but light "tap" to operate, as simply pressing the character often fails to work. The ink dries quickly, although six-cartridges are required, and they are not available in most stores. Ink costs are more than for the ink for most other printers.
The Artisan 810 is attractive, and I am pleased with how much it does well. The blanks for this review do not allow one to indicate that the use of the machine is for BOTH personal and home-busines. My use of the Artisan 810 is this combination. Worth mentioning is that the Epson Store's "re-furbished" price was still considerably less than even "sale" prices for the same model new from local stores.
If all continues to operate well, it is a great device.

This is an outstanding printer. Have made some outstanding nature pics and this printer does an outstanding job of printing them, no matter what the size. Would recommend this printer to anyone wanting to do some serious printing. This printer also does an outstanding job on CD's, DVD's. With the wireless network capabilty we have the ability to print form several PC's.

I am just getting used to my new all-in-one. But so far I like it very much and the print quality is outstanding. I wish I had room for a larger format printer. Alas, my office is only so big. This is my third Epson printer and I'm sold on the product.

Easiest setup

I was shocked at how easily this product was to set up for wireless networking. I had never set up anything like this before and it worked first time! The prints seem to be as good as I had hoped and it is faster than other printers I considered.
On the downside, I don't feel that the photo quality is as good as one competitive product I had considered, but I have yet to try it with really good photo paper. This is not a big deal to me as I generally use the faster photo printing services on line.
I was surprised that it has the ability to read a CD, but when I tried it, the Artisan 810 failed to see the photo CD I inserted, so the jury is still out on this feature.
Also, I feel that despite the range of flexibility of the paper tray it seems a bit flimsy. I would happily accept more weight in return for a more robust paper tray.

I have had the best results from my Artisan 810 than with any other printer I ever owned. I use only Epson 5 star paper and 98 ink and get fantastic results. I only wish it didn't eat up so much ink.

I have totally enjoyed this printer. The only problem is that is doesn't seem to like preprinted stationary, but it does a great job with our newsletters we print weekly. Excellent pictures and the arc design cards are great too. Weve already gotten a lot of use out of it and have only had it for a few weeks! We used a lot of ink on it though.
