I bought this in January 2010 so I wouldn't be late to my psychology class having to go to the library and print PowerPoint slides to take notes on. I also got it because of the faxing capability but I had problems doing that (later I'll call customer service about assistance with that). I love it and respect Epson, this is my first Epson product. The autodocument feeder (ADF) is wonderful but it stopped working in September 2010 so I called Epson and they sent me a refurbished one and now I can use the ADF again.
I use the scanner a lot and I like how you can switch the quality down to say, 300dpi. When I first started scanning I had the quality pretty high and .pdfs for one page were around 10MB haha. I decided that much quality for documents wasn't necessary but it's nice to be able to have nice quality if I want to scan a photograph.
The touch screen is awesome and I like how you can view your pictures on the screen if you insert a xD card (in my case). I have some video in the xD card which I think may slow down looking at pictures...it's not too bad though but an improvement on that would be nice in future products. It would be nice if it had bluetooth that worked with PCs/laptops but I think as it's set up it only works with iPhones :(
Overall I'm glad I bought it. The paper catcher/stopper is a bit flimsy/weak but I take good care of things so that's not an issue but if you find you break things a lot I can see how easily it may break so watch out for that. It's a bit bulky but the design is awesome and for all the things it can do, the bulkiness isn't even an issue.

Replaced my CX5400 with the Artisan 810. Loved the CX5400! But got to move on! Haven't used all of the functions yet but print quality is excellent and the speed is faster than the CX5400. Has a lower profile too.

WOW I thought I was getting it shipped in two days, it was here the next day. Awesome--I was really impressed and happy I got it so soon! :)This all-in-one printer has and is working for me. I haven't had any problems with it! The directions to getting it up and running were simple and easy! No problems! I would recommend this product for anyone. It is fast in its printing, and very good print. I like the tray for the paper. I like the screen it is out front and I really like this. It is a great working machine!

Very capable printer but flimsy paper tray

Just received yesterday so I haven't tested all the features but seems to be a good performer printing wise. The automatic document feeder is nice, as is the automatic duplexer. There was some bleed through on the 2-sided printing but that is probably the fault of the bargain paper I used.
My biggest concern is the really flimsy paper output tray, very cheesy. A printer of this calibre should have better designed components. I would have rated this printer 5 stars, but the paper tray prevented it.
A good candidate for a CIS system since the ink tanks are not mounted on the print head and don't move with it.
The large touch screen panel is a nice feature, as is the direct cd/dvd printing. The dual section input tray lets you load 8.5 x 11 paper and 4 x 6 / 5x7 photo paper together.

I found this printer very user friendly. My only downside to this printer is the extremely expensive ink cartridges. They are not easy to find in the combo packs. Usually when I can find them they are only in the more expensive 98 package and not the 99 package.

Truly a refined printer. Not only does it look stylish, it also is capable of high-quality printing in a matter of seconds. Individual color tanks save money in the long run, and the interface is clean and sophisticated. Setup is a bit lengthy, but very easy to follow.
An AIO that isn't an embarrassment to have guests see is nice.
Advice...You paid a lot for the printer, so don't be cheap with the paper. The thicker the better with this printer, even with basic document printing. The ink saturation is heavy with this printer, which is one of the reasons the results are so good. You won't be happy with the results if you use basic copy paper. Even basic multipurpose paper is a stretch. Use a high-quality, heavy bond paper for the best results.
