I am disappointed in this product. I read reviews on this
Epson Artisan 810, most of the reviews I read was good,
so I bought one. Today I tried connecting it to my apple
snowleopard. I started at 10 am it is now 6 pm and I still
don't have it going. I guess now I'll have to call in some
outside help. Easy it is not.

NOT FULLY FUNCTIONAL WITH APPLE

I am not happy that I cannot make a double-sided copy of a double-sided original using the document feeder.
I am not happy that PC users can fax wirelessly, but this is not available when using a Mac computer.
I paid the same amount as any other user and expected the same fully featured "all-in-one" printer. I did not get the same printing/functioning capabilities as PC users.
Why not disclose this on the box so the consumer can make an intelligent buying decision?
Why not make a high end printer like the Artisan 810 fully functional with both PC and Mac? Mac is a growing market that Epson does not seem to care much about.
I will not have good things to say about Epson printers when others ask how I like my Epson Artisan 810.

AGGRAVATING & TOTALLY ANNOYING !!!! :(

IT PRINTS BEAUTIFULLY , " BUT " !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I HAVE HAD THIS PRINTER FOR ALMOST A YEAR .
THE TOUCH SCREEN IS ALMOST TOTALLY USELESS ! THE TOUCH POINTS ' DO NOT ' STAY IN PLACE ! THEY ' KEEP SHIFTING ' EVERYTIME !
SO, I HAVE TO KEEP PRESSING ALL AROUND THE PLACE I WANT TO ACTIVATE , UNTIL I HIT SOMETHING THAT MAKES IT WORK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ALSO , PLACING THE PAPER IN THE RIGHT PLACE IN THE SLOT , IS TOTALLY ANNOYING ! EVEN IF I LEAVE IT IN THE SAME POSITION THAT ONCE WORKED , IT ' STILL ' MESSES UP !!!!!!!!

Customer Service Means Well, but...

I received a replacement printer because my document feeder wouldn't work all of a sudden. I received the replacement printer today and was able to fax out two sets of 20 pages, but then when I tried to make a color copy via the ADF, I get the flashing screen display that there is a printer error and to turn it off and on again. This does not fix it. Now I have to deal with shipping this monster back to them to get a different one, right when I needed this machine the most.
Customer Service is great, but it is voided by this terrible product.

Not for custom stationery/envelopes
on February 2, 2010

This review will only apply to a select group of people - those who print custom-size envelopes to accompany custom stationery. The 810 cannot print on the back flap of custom-size envelopes as once the printer's sensors detect an angled piece of paper, the flap in this case, it prevents printing so as not to damage the printer heads. If you don't print stationery and envelopes, this will not be a problem. If you do, this is the wrong printer for you. Of course, you can print the return address on the front. Too bad--the color rendition is great, and the machine is small, sleek, and easy to use! Wish I could keep it.

Artisan 8100 First Impressions

Just purchased the 810, as a long time Epson user (777 days) I have to say that this AOI is another winner. The network setup (wired) was seamless and I had both computers (Win 7, 64bit) set up on the network in less than 6 min. Printing and scanning were right on the money, typical Epson high quality. New case design is fantastic. Have it set up with the R1800 in the home office. Looking forward to years of great use
