So far so good! It is user friendly for non-tech folk! I can print pictures on photo paper! There are so many other thigs I have yet to discover! Good investment on my part. Got good help with customer service while setting it up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Performed well in a pinch

Needed a printer quickly. Have always liked EPSON products. Following setup, Test Sheet printed great. Put prepunched 3-hole paper in (holes to the right) but got weird output (a bit of text printed until the feeder hit the "hole" It stopped and acted like there was another sheet, advanced the distance of a top margin and printed a bit of the next page until it hit the next "hole".) Printer works fine with non-prepunched paper. I look forward to using it more.

Worst Printer I've ever had
on August 9, 2010

Purchased this printer on recommendation from a friend. Would not recommend it to anyone. Minor inconvenience is the front loading paper tray. I print on several different sizes of paper and this is not convenient at all for frequently changing sizes of paper. But my big complaint is the feed. Frequently I will get anywhere from 3 to 20 pieces of paper trying to feed through at the same time. More than 3 jams the machine. Today alone I have wasted almost a half ream of paper. The jammed pieces obviously cannot be used again because they are wrinkled. The only way I can be guaranteed that I will not waste paper today is to print one page at a time! I have tried to be very careful to use flat paper with no creases or wrinkles; but that does not seem to make a difference. We need all in ones that are not front loaders!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Artisan 810 AIO

This is the most versatile AIO I have ever owned or used.
The quality of the prints are the best I have ever seen. They rival professional print shops at a fraction of the cost.
I wouldn't change a single thing about this printer.

OS dependent issues

I have a MacBook running Leopard and a MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard.
The Leopard machine works great with the printer's software. The Snow Leopard machine usually gives an error message instead of printing [RGB colorspace].
I decided it would be easier to set up the MacBook Pro to dual boot into both operating systems.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like the printer, but it has a 62 page Quick Guide, there is nothing Quick about 62 pages.
I would recommend this to a friend!
