simply amazing

The only downside to my review, is that I have no basis for comparison with modern printers as my last printer was rather old. This printer does everything I want it to and more. It prints AMAZING pictures when used with quality gloss photo paper. The paper tray is a great design, allowing you to store more than one size of paper depending on what your doing. I have found myself taking my photography back up in full swing since i got this printer and i have already had to replace the inks considering the number of pictures i print out. I have been sending out birthday cards, and already have most of my Christmas cards printed and ready to be sent out ( i was hooked playing with it and needed something to do ha ha). The Large LCD screen makes setting up the system easy and fast not to mention the fact that its WiFi which means you can print to it from your wireless laptop from anywhere in the house! You have all kinds of options right from the printer, you can print photos directly from an inserted memory card from your camera complete with resizing and cropping options, no computer needed. You can print graph paper, even scan a picture and convert it to a full page coloring book page for the kids! All around the best printer I have ever owned and I LOVE IT! Now I can finally say, " Hey mom.... HA! My printer is better than yours!" Ha Ha Ha
Get up to date, get yourself and 810

Great Printer

I bought this printer for my wife for an early Christmas, and by no means has she or I been dissappointed. She wanted a printer that could Scan, Copy, Print, Wireless, and print on CD/DVD's. For just a normal everyday use this printer exceeds our expectations and the setup for the wireless took no more than a minute or two. We are able to print Christmas cards with this and the print quality is amazing. I did take others recommendations of buying EPSON photo paper which is the only slight pricey part, so I haven't tried other photo paper nor do I want to.

Step down for Epson

I have owned many Epson printers over the years and this one is a step down. It is greatly improved in CD printing, but it mis-feeds paper over half the time. This is with standard weight paper. Forget about thicker photo papers larger than 4 x 6.

Epson ROCKS!

This is my 3rd epson printer, and not my last. I am a photographer/videographer. I dig creating custom DVD labels, the picture quality is extremely good, and my clients love the custom look produced for the finished product.
Nothing is perfect when it comes to printers. I do not have the paper jamming issues with the Artisan 810, just follow the guidelines and you will print without any problems. You can adjust the printer to accept thicker paper and the results are very good. I do not use this printer for my pro photos, I use the Epson R1800 and I will most likely purchase the Epson R2880 or 3880, not sure yet which one. But I feel Epson is on TOP of the printing game. I would not use any other printer, period.

Easy setup, easy to use, and does a fantastic job. I have several Epson printers but my wife doesn't use any of them. This one she loves, and it made a great Christmas gift.

Not Flexible

Just bought the Epson Artisan 810 to use with a new iMac with Snow Leopard. It was easy to set up if you read the directions and downloaded the printer software but it has some issues for me. One, you cannot print with 3 hole paper. Two, you cannot print just part of one page. Three, you cannot print in just black and white. If you print pictures or the occasional page this is not a big deal, but these issues are important for me and probably others who print documents. Just beware of the limitations of this printer.

Excellent Purchase

The first thing I notice out of the box were the 7 cartridges. However the 7 cartridges make for photographs that are perfect matches to the originals. Much better than a 4 cartridge printer that I had in the past.
