Artisan 810 - Two thumbs up

I've been using my Artisan 810 for over a month, now. Nothing to complain about, a lot to praise. It does all that it's supposed to do, and does it well. I think this is the ideal all-in-one for home use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good Value for Price

I bought two Epson Artisan 810 printers. Overall good quality copying, printing and scanning for our small business needs.
Drawbacks:
1) No second tray, I like one dedicated to paper, one to envelopes.
2) A blank page spews out after every pdf file printed, can't figure out how to stop it.
3) Paper feeder too often grabs more than one sheet of paper (even after "airing" new paper) thus screwing up compiled or two-sided print jobs.
4) Document feeder too often grabs more than one sheet of paper.
5) Output paper catcher is flimsy and in a quite unhandy-in-actual-use location just above the paper tray.
6) Scanning photos always involves re-cropping the file.
The gripes above would likely only be solved by buying a much more expensive printer...in retrospect...probably should have spent the money.
Good value printer for home use, doesn't quite do the job for heavier commercial use in our business.

The Epsom 810 is a great buy! It was SIMPLE to install on my iMAC and works great - nothing to figure out. I bought for its appearance , reviews I had read, and because it does 2-sided printing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This printer is faboulous. It set itself up perfectly without a hitch. It does everything and does it well, scanning, faxing, copying and of course printing. I put all my christmas pictures on a dvd and then printed one of the pictures on the front of the dvd. AMAZING! You would never know that it was printed on a home printer. It came out perfect. Totally professional looking. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone.

I love my Artisan 810

I have bought many printers from Epson. Starting with the Picture Mate Flash, Snap, Dash and Zoom. I need to be an Epson dealer, because of my picture quality I get off of these printers, many family members have bought these printers and LOVE them. The quality and resolution blows away any pictures printed in the stores. I just cannot say enough about these small home printers. I do wish that Epson would sell the ink separate. I go through more ink, then I do paper. Please Epson, consider selling the ink separate!! I just bought the Artisan 810 and absolutely love printing the 5 x 7 and 8 x 10 pictures. The quality is outstanding and the printer is easy to navigate. I would never stray away from Epson printers. They make the best printers on the market!!

The Artisan 810 is as advertised - a fast, quiet, accurate photo AIO with all the bells and whistles. Easy to set up, easy to use, and delivers awesome results. Only drawback is the text printing is not as sharp as other inkjets I've used in the past, unless you go to high resolution, which slows said printing considerably. Also, the unit is pretty large, which doesn't matter in my case, because I use the wireless function and put the printer across the room where it fits out of the way nicely. I haven't printed a DVD yet, but I'm excited to see it in action. I would buy this printer again.

I generally like the 810. I like the individal ink tanks; I like the double sided printing - ALTHOUGH I HAVE HAD THE PAPER JAM WHEN CHANGING SIDES (Glossy paper, not Matte). I really like the touch screen, it makes it so easy to select tasks. The vivid colors are definitely GREAT! I print alot of brochures from my travels (I have 30 some), pictures are very nice, colors are clear and vivid, and not having to reload the paper for the second side is so nice.
Printing individal pictures (4x6 or 5x7) is easy with the self loading tray. Pictures look GREAT!
Printing from the internet is great and economical because of the double-sided feature.
Generally I like this printer.
