With the Artisan 810 all home printing, scanning and faxing needs will be fulfilled. Quality of photo prints is outstanding, speed is very good.

I would never buy another Epson printer. Two reasons, it jams a-lot - in fact it in not possible to print two sided documents with color in it, the ink NEVER drys quicly enought and ALWAYS jam. Even black and whit print jams more than I beleive it should. Second: the paper has has a very small paper reserve. I seem to be constantly out of paper. I have a few other issues about the way it prints, but these are my two biggest problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Took two units and a upgrade to get it right,Finally , had problems with 800 seeing cartridges,recieved 810 works excellent. Epson was very helpfull,excellent service and response. Thanks Bob

An Excellent Printer

I have had this printer for about six months, and I am very well pleased with it. It has worked flawlessly, and the quality of its output when using high grade paper has been excellent. Replacing all six ink cartridges seems a bit pricey, but I have found that they have lasted a lot longer than the ones used with other brands of ink jet printers that I have used.
One thing that I have found was that when printing on the Epson Premium Photo Paper, the resulting print is waterproof. This is not necessarily the case with printing on other substrates, however. As a test, I soaked an image in water printed on the paper mentioned above for about an hour, and when I took it out and dried it, it showed no signs of running.
Photos printed at the high quality settings are indistinguishable with the naked eye from those printed photographically. The printer is quite fast, as well.
One tip that may have been in the instructions and I missed it: When printing on a CD or DVD,
it is much easier to load the discs of you tilt up the control panel fully.

This is my second Artisan 800 series. Wore first one completely out. Got great pictures, scanning was easy and very good, do lots of geaneology work and retouching photos is great. Have not found any problems as of yet. New 810 a bit of trouble in getting operating, but with new driver download (finally) all is working well. Will go for another 800 when this one conks out. Also got one for my wife. We have two 810's.

I love the sleek style of the machine. I also love how fast the copies and prints are made. A few down falls: loudness of the noise it makes and the difficulty of changing the ink cartridges. I suffer from carpal tunnel: grasping/pinching, I also have long nails and my hands are big. It is difficult to get the cartridges out of the machine. Maybe a spring action that pops the cartridge out just enough to grab. But once I get past all that, the machine is wonderful!
