This is the greatest Printer yet. It has replaced my fax, scanner, and older printer. The best about this product is the ability to scan to PDF files on my wireless network back to my computer, or scan to Microsoft Office programs. I'm impressed EPSON!!

First Impressions

Just received my Artisan 810. Wireless installation was impressively simple and effective. You should know your SSID but it'll list any that it finds to prompt you and you must have your keyphrase. That's it. The rest is simple - including the fax setup. The print wizard is very intuitive and easy to set up your default settings. The entire setup took 15 minutes. Printed several documents, text and mixed text + images - simplex & duplex - all came out very quick, clean and sharp.
A great printer - especially at the promotional price.

Not a good choice. It is common that when sending items to be printed that the copies are blank. The common problem is that the nozzles are plugged. It takes one or two cycles to clear the nozzles in order to get decent copies. It takes several minutes to clear the nozzles and wastes a lot of toner during the cleaning process. It does do a decent job when the nozzles aren't plugged.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The 810. sorely needed, worth the wait

Unpacking this beauty was probably the hardest part of setting up. Tying it into my existing wireless betow4rk was a piece of cake. Running the Epson install softwars was also easy, albeit a bit time consuming. No matter, as this li'l darlin' has features for which I have lusted for years, including scanning to a .PDF.
I'm anxious to try the CD thing, but will do some research (aka reading the manual) so that I don't screw it up.
Altogether a home run for the epson folks, and given that they are already up to modelchange incorporated in the Artisan 835....wow.
BTW...I have been an epson devotee since my early days with dot matrix printing. I still have an old LQ850 and a computer that will read the old epson character codeset.

I am so excited about the Artisan 810. I was looking for an affordable printer with a fax feature and this is the one for me. All other features I already had in my previous printer. I have not had this printer for very long, but I am excited about being able to have this added feature from home.

This printer can do everything. It makes excellent photo's. It can copy and reproduce really well. The wifi works seemlessly with other devices. The set up was easy and without hasles. A great all round machine.

Absolutely LOVE this machine, it is awesome. It does everything. Paid a fair price for it and so far it has been worth it.
