So Happy to be Back with Epson

After having used Epson printers for years going back as far as the ancient dot-matrix days, I switched to another brand of ink jet after my well-used early Epson color ink jet gave up the ghost. This time, I really looked at all of my needs and thought that the Artisan 810 would meet all of our needs from color photos to DVD labels to wi-fi to faxing. After 4 months, I can truthfully say that it's GREAT to be back with Epson - especially the Artisan 810! We now print fantastic photos & DVD/CD labels. Having 6 ink cartridges have really saved a ton of waste (using the high capacity 98's exclusively). My family prints over our wi-fi saving the trouble of emailing documents to the connected pc. WOW!
Room for improvement? Just wish that the 2nd paper tray (for photo paper) could also be used for larger sizes (up to 8.5 x 11) so that we could keep our secondary paper (letterhead or card stock) loaded at all times.
Also, scanning at higher resolutions is great but I wish it were a bit faster!
Al in all - the Artisan 810 is a GREAT addition to our hardware!!

This printer has been perfect from day one. It warms up quickly, is fast to print and scan, and has only had a small paper jam once in the many months I've owned it. I haven't used all of its many features, but connection to my wireless network was quick and easy. The fax feature works great, both incoming and outgoing. The software doesn't hog system resources. I would highly recommend it.

I love this printer

My husband gave me this printer as a gift. We had spent tons of time reading online reviews of many all-in-one printers and decided the Epson Artisan 810 best fit my needs. i have a laser printer for my high volume printing needs, so I will not use it for that.
For scanning and faxing, it is superb. It scans much more rapidly than my newly retired scanner, and the touch screen controls make every use extremely easy.
Those are great benefits, but, the very best feature is photo printing. I love the color, speed and quality of the prints I get from this. I did a test using a highly colored photo I took in Penang that I had had printed by an online company. I printed it on the Epson, showed several people the two and all chose the Epson-printed photo as the best. The bright blue wasn't quite as blue, but the overall crispness and clarity really allowed the photo to shine. I can't wait to print more.
I am not a professional photographer, but an intermediate shooter. This is just a great machine for my use.

Epson Artisan 810 printer

I have worked with digital photography for over 20 years and have always trusted Epson for my finished photo printing. I was a little skeptical about trying an "all in one" printer but these printers are so reasonably priced now that I finally broke down and bought this one. I just love it. It is so convenient to be able to fax, copy or print and high quality. This printer is very user-friendly and versital that I would highly reccommend it to anyone who has need for a high quality photo printer as well as being able to fax easily or copy.

IP address software bug

The printer is great, but there is a bug in the software. Whenever my router changes the printer IP address, my Windows notebook loses communication with the printer. (My iMACs on the same network do not have this problem.) The solution, which was provided by Epson tech support, it to delete the printer port and then add a new printer port; not difficult, but should not be necessary.

Very impressive

The Artisan 810 All-in-One Printer is a multiple purpose machine that does what Epson says it will do. The photo pictures are spectaular, as good as store processing. The 2 sided printing feature saves a lot of paper. The printer is easy to set up and use. It is a time saver, using the WiFi feature, we don't have to go to the printer, plug in the laptop, print, then go back and start working again. With WiFi, we just print, and retrieve it off the printer later when you are finished with your project. I have recommended this printer to friends and family.

Outstanding All Around...

This printer met and exceeded my expectations. I use it as my daily office printer. I also use it to printout my small proof sheets. The colors are fantastic.
