fax,copy and scanner work great,color printing not so great,but I didn't buy it for pictures.Overall very good deal.

Installation review only - Good!

The installation was one of the best printer experiences I've had. No problems with Win7 64bit or with my wireless arrangement. Kudos to Epson for it's very great online video for installation! *Everything worked without a hitch.
Now comes the real crunch... how well does it work? Only time will tell. The test page printed fine. I don't know if Epson will allow me to add to this review later

Expensive Ink

ink is too costly, printer does not print if one of the colors is out. Ink is not used up and printer stop printing even if there is a full container of ink in another ink container.The ink is very costly and never on sale! overall the printer prints great. the fax does not let you know if your fax went through, only if the fax does not go through.
I would recommend this to a friend!

i bought one around a year and a half and only used it 25 times then the belt that drives the ink broke wish i could have bout a belt rather then a new printer.

Not exactly what I expected

I have owned several Epson printers because the ones I owned in the past were really great printers that I never had a problem with... not till I got this one. This is actually my second 610. The first one started jamming paper after just six months and had to be replaced. Now, I will say, in Epson's favor their tech support service was great. But the jury is still out on this printer. I say that because within 3 days of installing it, I had my first paper jam. At least this time it did not foul up the entire printer with ink and continuous jams. I'll have to see how it goes from here on out. I used to regularly recommend Epson to friends and family, but I may not be able to if this one proves me wrong for doing so in the past. We'll just have to wait and see.

Epson Printer

This is my second Epson printer and it is great. It prints very fast, makes excellent copies, and has many features that will be put to good use. It is a little noisier than my other Epson but I liked it so much, I bought another of the same printer for my husband's office. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone looking for a new, replacement, or additional printer for home or office.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great machine, BUT !

Great machine , works fine , but had to call Epson to find out how to turn off machine. Being a fax machine it does not turn of by simply pressing off button. There should be something in the instruction sheet that explains the procedure for turning off machine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Unit is quick and easy to install, had it up and running in no time. It is quite large, especially in height. And those who say it's noisy aren't kidding, this thing could wake the dead! It does have a quite mode but it slows the printing time down. It does print very quickly. The text quality is very good and the photo quality is OK, not the best. Accessing information from the downloaded manual is no quick trick.
I thought that I did enough research before buying this printer but I neglected to find out one item very important to me...it will not print on card stock paper or heavier papers! I took it for granted that it would because every other printer that I have ever owned has done so, even the cheapest units. So I can not advise this unit to anyone wanting to print cards or artistic projects where you need this choice. I will eventually have to buy another printer for this reason alone! I would return it except I got it new for a very good price and no return is available.
So, if you need a unit more for office-type work and occasional photo printing, this is a good unit. For artistic use, you would probably be happier with something else.
