I love this printer. So easy to set up. Great scanning and printing quality. Plus the design is absolutely elegant. Don't think twice about buying it. Seriously.

Just set this up a couple days ago. No problems there. I have a Mac Mini operating Snow Leopard and it was quite easy. The wireless connectivity works well — full bars. And after I installed the software, my computer found it immediately. To be fair to the critics, I've been setting up computers and peripherals for many years, so I suspect that it might be tricky for anyone new to this process.
Printed flawlessly: so fast in fact that I didn't even realize that the one test page was done until I looked down at the printer and saw the page sitting there waiting patiently. Nice-looking printout. And after a few print cycles, still no jams. We'll see how long the ink and print quality last — too early to tell. I have not had good success with Epson printers in the past, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
And yes, it shakes, rattles, and rolls when printing, but I have yet to find an all-in-one in this price range that doesn't. And yes it's made of fragile plastic materials that are "built to NOT-last," but again, this seems the M.O. for all brands.
Other than the obvious but not surprising flimsiness of the printer, the only other thing that is (so far) keeping me from giving 5 stars is that I can't figure out how to check for driver updates without scouring the internet (and Epson support). It would be quite helpful if Epson were to include an update feature in its software.
In any event, I'll amend this review should anything worth mentioning occurs...

Excellent color, but noisy

I set it up to use with my MacBook, which runs Snow Leopard 10.6.4. When researching the 610 online, I read a reveiw that suggested Snow Leopard users download the driver, instead of automatically inserting the accompanying CD. He didn't realize this until he got through the CD procedure, only to have it not work. Fortunately, EPSON now packs the manual with a special insert devoted to this issue--that's one of the first things you'll see--if you read the manual packet contents.
Setup was easy, as ALL things with a Mac ;-). Color is great, but the 610 shakes the table it's on, and is pretty noisy mechanically. I guess I've become too accustomed to my B&W Laser printer.
So far, so good with the 610. Excellent quality for the price.

I found this printer easy to install and set up. I was concerned because of other comments on the internet but it took no more than 20 minutes and it is working fine. It is a little larger than I would have wanted but after looking at a dozen other printers, I think I have made a good purchase at a reasonable price. Plus, I am very satisfied with the excellent resolution. It is beautiful. Plus the ink cartridges are reasonable and have a much longer life span than HP, my last printer.

Bought this after going online and reading reviews about different printers. I replaced a HP 3 in 1 that I had for less than a year, and has never worked right. I am very pleased with the Epson Workforce 610. It works great and prints awesome pictures. I use my printer for home office. Would highly recommend it.

New Printer - WOW!

Received an early Christmas gift today from my daughter and OH MY GOSH! The instructions were simple and I installed it all by myself! The test page printed beautifully and is so much better than I had. Looking forward to MUCH use and a looooooong life with this printer.

Not bad for the price

Easy to hook up. Works fine, except as noted. It is NOISY when starting to print. Text is very good. Color photos are not up to standard for 4 ink catridges. Not any where close to the Epson 925 (6 colors) that I have, which is 7 years old.
