This Epson WorkForce 610 replaced an Epson CX6600, and the new printer is miles above the older one. I haven't used the FAX yet, but the printing, photo printing and scanning features are great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The speed is fantastic compared to what I had previously. Only problem so far is occasional paper jams. It doesn't seem to like some of the paper I use. Surprised to find that it will not print on 3-hole paper. Why not? It does make a ka-chunk sound when it begins printing but I'd read about that and it doesn't really bother me. Quite easy to set up and to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had Epson printers for years but this is an upgrade from my previous ones. Once I had it working I foud it to be fast but rather noisy. It prints well and does the job. I am not wireless but someday I will set it up that way. A friend told me he tried to phone me and he got the fax machine. I have yet to use it for faxing.
It does the job and the price was right.

Workforce is a good name for this printer

I bought this printer to replace an Epson I'd had for a while. I have tried many other printer manufacturers, but have never been satisfied. I've had the printer about a month but I have tried many of the features and really like it. I have seen other reviews of this printer where people have said the ink cartridges don't last very long (including someone who said they only print 12 pages before one ran out of ink). I don't know what they were printing, but I have printed MANY pages including about 30 photographs at best quality and larger than normal and the factory cartridges are not even 1/3 empty. The sheet feeder on top is very handy for scanning a full page. A great printer!

Excellent printer

I installed the printer on my local wireless network using an ethernet cable because it is located close to my router. The installation was simple, quick, and problem free on my Windows 7 computer and on an older XP machine. Printing is fast and excellent quality. Haven't exercised the fax and scanner much yet, but seems straightforward. The only issue so far was on power-up after it was shut off for a few days. It had a problem recognizing one of the color cartridges, but re-seating it cleared the problem.

Just Buy It and Save Yourself the Research Time!

My first Epson 610 was defective. It would print a border on my photos despite setting it to print borderless. No matter. I liked it so much, I decided to stay with it and get another after returning the first.
I am glad I did. You can't beat the price for all that this Epson offers. Of greatest use to me is the wireless feature. Installation was ridiculously easy, and the quality of photos is unbelievably great. The LCD menu which allows you to install the device, change settings, and select different jobs is really intuitive. So, save yourself the time I spent, take my word for it and go buy it. I am a consumer reports fanatic and did a ton of research before chosing this one. Definitely the way to go.

I have owned this unit for a short time and so far has been very good. I use it primarily as a fax and general printer. I set it up as a network printer and rthe instructions were very helpful in doing so. So far ink usuage has been good. I would recomend this printer that needs a good multi function printer.
