great camera

This is my second powershot camera from canon. I have had no complaints with these cameras they are so easy to use that even kids can use them. I love both of the cameras the powershot sx120IS has a very clear picture,the movie part of camera is also very nice you can freeze the frames and make them into the picture with ease. Canon has been my choice of cameras for over 30 years keep up the great work!
Pros: Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Short battery life

Canon never fails me!

This is my 4th Canon camera and my second digital Canon camera. I would still be using my A90 if I had not lost it at a football game. I really need to say I have not found any real problems with this camera. Of 4 cameras taking a picture through a screened security door. Our Canon was the only camera to ignore the wire in the glass so I got a great picture of our new grandson. I recommend getting rechargable batteries. Better for taking lots of pictures. The smile detector is working great and the white balance does a better than good job in low light when it decides not to use the flash. Took a short video too. Looked great on my 62in HDTV.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use, time and date stamp available, removable memory, standard batteries used, 10x optical zoom

My Best Camera Ever!

Reccomended by "Consumer Reports" as a "best buy", which pointed me it's way.
Have only owned it for 2 months now and never knew photograpy could be so simple.
Everything about it makes is so user friendly. It's light, has a great zoom, and it almost takes the pictures itself.
I had looked at some other comparable cameras by other major brands, but it was my previous association with the Canon name, that tipped the scales toward this camera

Best camera I have owned

This is the best camera I have owned and used. I took pictures of my kids that came out fantastic and also took pictures at the zoo. I wound up having some fantastic pictures of some fantastic animals ae bald eagle, elephant and so on. All in vibrant color.
Speaking of which I took pictires of some flowers and they really popped. This is the easiest and and best camera to use. Just set it on the smart feature to take real great pictures.
When you get aquanted with the settings you can use the 18 different setting to really make your images pop off the page.
Deffinetely the best camera I have used,. And the two AA battereries last a long time as well.

Best Purchase Ever

I love the Canon PowerShot SX120 IS. Not only the best Night Shots but many of my Garden, Concerts, Children, Pets, Fishing Trips, Beach, Sporting Events, etc. Batteries I use are Rechargables and last a LONG time which is amazing with all the pictures I take daily. I may have to change them once every week or two. My old camera was eating up batteries. I highly recommend this Camera as it was Highly recommended to me.

great outdoor photos

we were vacationing at Lake Tahoe last week and my old camera no longer worked. I purchased my new Canon and took alot of outdoor pictures! I'm still learning alot about the camera but really enjoy the easy use of it. I keep reading about how fast the batteries die out, but I always use Lithium batteries and the salesman told me they would last for about 80-100 pictures! that's fine with me.

Great camera for those not wanting SLR

I got this camera for Christmas 2009. It was an upgrade from my former finepix point and shoot digital. It has great features and is very user friendly. The zoom is amazing!!!! And I use this camera for video more than my flip video camera because of the zoom and quality. At first, I was disappointed with my indoor pics....they seemed grainy and dull. If I used the flash, they were too yellow. Then, I took the time to learn about changing the aperture, ISO, white balance and shutterspeed for low light indoor situations and my pics have improved greatly! I would definitely recommend taking the time to learn how to use the manual settings. If I can do it, anyone can! All it takes is a few adjustments that are very easy to make on this camera. This is a great compromise for people who want more than a basic camera, but don't want or aren't ready for the bigger, heavier, but more professional SLRs.

Great Quatlity Photos

I really enjoy this camera alot. I've had at least 3 other digital camera and they were just ok. I believe this one is the best thus far. It is easy to use. Like every other camera, rechargeable batteries are a must.
PROS: Takes wonderful quality photos. Easy to use with many different modes and settings available. Easy to use even if you are just beginning.
CONS: I have only two complaints. First, I wish that a paper manual would've been included. Secondly, I wish their was a sports or action mode to accomidate and make easier action shots.
Since purchasing this camera I've gotten into photography quite a bit and love to display my shots. I even just recently won a runnerup spot in a photo contest earning me a cool $250.00. This will go towards a future purchase of an even better model and quality Canon. Thank you CANON!!!
