Would not recommend w/o change

New to digital cameras so instruction manual very important.
Surprised to find only basic manual w/advanced instructions
on supplied computor disc.Ordered add. manual & instead ofrec'ng glossy compact manual, rec'd 143 -8 1/2 by 11 "
sheets stapled together-not very handy to carry w/camera
on vacation.Apparently this is part of a misguided "going green"program. If I was aware of this, would not have purchased camera. Other wise, very satisfied with camera's performance, Could use a view finder & side strap holders, but, I was aware of this,so no complaint.

Pros: Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, easy to use

had I done enough research to realize that this model does not have a view finder, only the screen, I would never have bought this model. Also the download software version is not a friendly to use as previous versions I have from previous Canon cameras.
Cons: Difficult to use, Missing features/settings, Flimsy Construction
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed in quality

I've owned three other Canon digital cameras, and have been happy with all three. Not this one! The camera was poorly manufactured and had a cheap, flimsy feel. The battery compartment was very difficult to open and close. The whole camera seemed very fragile. I need something a bit more durable.

I received this camera for Christmas and have been working with it ever since to get some good pictures. They are blurry and grainy. My old Canon Power Shot A520 takes sharper pictures than this one. I have sent it in to see if they can do something with it since I can not return it. We'll see how that goes. I have resolved the battery issue by using rechargeable batteries. That does work.
Pros: Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Poor image quality, Poor Low-Light Performance, Short battery life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not a great camera as recommed ny the store where I purchased it....does not take good quality pics no matter what setting use.Hate the fact that you have to lift the flash when you need to use it thenit has to charge so you are missing good shots..hate the camera bought in for Thanksgiving pictures...worst digital camera I have ever owned..wasted my money

No Good At The Beach

Most of the time this is a great camera. The problem is I took it on vacation at the beach and I could not take pictures outside. The lens would get moisture in it. I would bring it inside and it would clear up. I never did get pitctures of the kids on the beach.
Pros: good pictures
Cons: not for humid conditions
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can't open battery door

I just rec'd. this camera - zoom looks good but I can't open battery door. It's impossible for me to open the door. I tried a dozen times. My husband can manager it but maybe because of my nails, it is a probllem. Cannon should improve this feature. If I need to change and battery or memory card, I can't so I'm not a fan of this camera and I am considering returning it to Cannon.
Pros: excellent image quality
Cons: Difficult to use, Heavy/Bulky, battery door does not open easily
I would recommend this to a friend!
