i use this camera for newspaper at school. i love photography and when i used this camera for the first time i fell in love with it! its easy to use and takes clear crisp photos the first time you need it to! the only problem i'd say is that when you are reviewing photos the little rotate button moves sometimes so when you are reviewing photos the photo it might switch to a different photo when u didn't want it to. but i would call that a minor problem!
Pros: easy to use, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality

I recieved my Powershot from my father for christmas 2008. I had asked for a camera that I could use on a daily basis and he got me this camrea. So far, everything is wonderful about the camera, except for its battery life (which is extremely short at best) and the flash stopped working. Image quality is beautiful and the ease of using it is wonderful too.
Pros: Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Short battery life, flash doesn't work

I had a camra that had 3 x zoom and that wasa good camra. But we were having our first family vaction and i wanted something new and better. So i asked my husban to get this one for me and let me just say this is the best thing i have ever bought. We were on top lookout mtn. And took pictures and then i zoommed in (or should i say it looks like you are standing in frount of the bildings). And took some pics that way and it was so cool the pics were not burley like other the pics that other camaras take. If you are thinking about buying a camra i have to say buy this one 1000%.

this is a great camera for the price.i have pushed it out to 40x and people can't believe it still takes clear pictures.i love it.i do a surf report for my area and it takes great action shots.

I absolutely love this camera!!! It takes clear, crisp, excellent pictures! The viewer is large so that's a plus! The auto feature makes it very user friendly! Great camera for everyone! I bought re-chargeable batteries to help with the short battery life.
Pros: Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Short battery life, Heavy/Bulky

Work documentation

I perform residential & commercial repairs, which at times, requires visual documentation. In the past, I either used a old camera (film) or my phone camera. Utilizing film didn't work when I had to buy new parts the same day to replicate the project. The phone camera just didn't show enough and trying to view the image in a brightly light store
was a problem. I needed a camera that had a large view field, easy to use, digital - for instant viewing, and not too expensive to replace in case it got damaged.

I have used this camera at least a dozen times (mostly for work), and like it. Setting it to automatic works most of the time. With the additional features such as erasing an image, magnifying the main focal point, inserting date & time, makes this a great tool. The many features incorporated into this model are especially useful when I need to supply hard documentation to someone. This camera has been used under a mobile home, in dirty crawl spaces, dimly lit basements, attics and in regular settings (outdoors, normally lit rooms). I has worked better than expected. I have even taken pictures this winter (indoors/outdoors) for personal use, and was very satisfied of the results. The erase option is great !
Since the camera is light weight, which is good when crawling through an attic, one needs to be extra careful when transporting. It would be nice if a 'hard case' that would prevent damage were available . Ideally, the case would hold the camera, extra batteries, and cleaning material. I have not used half of the features, including the video option, on this camera. The many features offered will require some trial and error use, but I don't think any will be hard to learn.

i can't believe a small camera like this does so much.just put it on auto take pictures all day and night.once you have your settings where you want them,no need to fiddle around to adjust for sudden light changes or anything else.
