Good Printer

So far I like the printer a *lot*.
*After* Set-Up it is a DREAM!
Wireless Set-Up was not as easy as it could have been. But, was not "hard". Briefly, there was no obvious "Manual" WPA - TKIP set-up or instructions on how to "Add" to an existing set-up. By the time I figured out how to create a USB Flash Drive for an already existing Network in Windows 7, my son had fumbled through and found the Manual Entry. I still don't know where that is.
The new terms for Wireless Security were not familiar to me and being new to Windows 7 didn't help. I am still back in the WPA-TKIP. Which your printer works with.
For reference: To create a USB Network Flash Drive.
Right-Click Open Network and Sharing Center -OR- [START] -> Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center
In the top left corner select manage wireless networks
Select the net work you want to add the printer to.
At the bottom of the window select Copy this Network Profile to a USB Flash Drive.
As I said I didn't get a chance to actually see if this information is what the Printer wants. But, it's a start.
Lastly, this is the fastest Ink Jet I have ever seen.
Scanner is twain Compliant in that I can Import directly to Paint Shop Pro
Pros: fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: Difficult Setup

Nice compact printer, was very easy to set up for wireless network, wireless network connection distance is limited to about 25-30 ft for an ok connection, printing is a little slow but high quality.
Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use
Cons: Slow Print Speed

I have only had this for a a couple weeks, but it's doing everything well that it is supposed to do. I've run the scanner, the copier and the printer. and am happy with most everything. My only hesitation on total recommendation is the photos, and I believe there is a setting to improve the clarity of the people's images. The colors were outstanding. Overall I'm very satisfied with the unit.
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use

This is the best printer I've ever had; and, I've had plenty of them. I bought this as a replacement for another brand that was broken when I got it, and I'm glad it was. The packaging was wonderful and thorough, the quality is great and Canon thought of everything on this model. The ink cartridges light up when installed (to show proper installation); that is wonderful for me. The print quality is very good (haven't tried photos as yet). I also love the Navi key and options, LCD, etc. on top of the printer, as opposed to the bottom front as most have. I am very pleased with this printer; Canon makes awesome products! I highly recommend this printer to anyone looking for a great printer at a great price.
Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Low Ink Consumption, easy to use

I checked out a lot of printers before I chose this one. I asked my daughter to help me and for once we came to the same conclusion. Because it was wireless I was expecting to need her help to set it up but it was easy. I just followed the instructions and in no time at all it was working. With all the things that I have used the printer for so far, I think the printer has already paid for itself. I look forward to using it to reprint/print some photos. In addition, it is one of the quietest printers that I have ever owned and I have owned quite a few printers over the years.
Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use

VERY EASY FOR A LAY PERSON TO SET UP

I LOVE THIS PRINTER. MY SON USUALLY HELPS ME TO SET UP ELECTRONIC DEVICES AND NEW COMPUTERS. HE WAS NOT AROUND TO HELP, SO IT WAS ALL ON ME. I WAS VERY INTIMIDATED AT FIRST, BUT THE DIRECTIONS ARE SO EASY TO UNDERSTAND. THE ONLY ISSUE I HAD WAS I HAVE A MINI MAC WHICH HAS SNOW LEOPARD OPERATING SYSTEM 10.6.2. I HAD TO CALL CANON BECAUSE I COULD NOT GET THIS TO WORK WIRELESSLY. THE TECH WAS GREAT. HE WALKED ME THROUGH DOWNLOADING 4 DRIVERS AND INSTALLING EACH ONE SO THAT THE PRINTER CAN NOW WORK WITHOUT THE USB CABLE. MY SUGGESTION IS TO TAKE YOUR TIME , READ THROUGH THE BOOKLET FIRST BEFORE STARTING THE SET UP. THE SECTIONS ARE WELL MARKED FOR BOTH WINDOWS AND MAC. I NEEDED 1 HR TO SET UP THE WIRELESS PART ONLY BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE THE DRIVERS ON MY COMPUTER FOR THIS PRINTER. I PRINTED PHOTOS THAT I HAD SENT FROM MY DIGITAL CAMERA TO MY COMPUTER. THEY LOOKED LIKE I JUST PICKED THEM UP FROM A PHOTO SHOP. I WOULD DEFINITLY RECOMMEND GETTING THIS MODEL. YOU GET ALOT OF PRINTER FOR LESS MONEY THAN OTHER ONES OUT THERE. THE ONLY CON IS THAT FOR THE SIZE OF THIS UNIT I DID NOT PUT IT ON MY DESK. I HAVE IT ON A SMALL END TABLE.THAT IS JUST MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE I DON'T LIKE TO FEEL CROWDED.

Great Printer

I purchased this printer to replace a different printer that used way too much ink very fast. I also like the fact that this printer is wireless so I can place it anywhere I choose instead of it tied to one oomputer. The printer setup was very easy except for the orientation of the printhead. I was able to setup the wireless network connection without much hassle. I just compared a photo printed on my previous printer with this one and there is no comparison. This one beats it hands down! At this point, the only downside is that I can't figure out how to print in duplex mode when I want to print on both sides of the paper. I have sent this printer a two page document from a website and it still printed on two pages. This is the only reason I gave it a 4 star rating for performance. I have nothing negative to say about this printer other than that one item.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use, easy wireless setup
Cons: hasn't printed in duplex mode

This is the best printer. I love the fact that it's a copier, scanner and printer. I had seperate devices before I bought this one and can't believe the amount of space I have in my computer area . The picture quality is outstanding. I've scanned many old family pictures with it and most of them look like they were resent shots, not 40 year old pictures.
Pros: picture quality, space saving
Cons: ink supply doesn't last too long
I would recommend this to a friend!
