Has an override/bypass to print B & W

I don't know why many users are saying it won't print in black ink only when a color cartridge runs out because it does. Hold down the resume/cancel button. The resume/cancel button is the smaller button below the power button, on the right side of the front of the printer. Press for 10 seconds. You can now print in black ink.
My problem I'm having currently is I'm getting incomplete printing. I cleaned and deep cleaned but printing is still poor. So, I will try cleaning the printer heads next. I hope that works because I have extra unopened ink.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This isn't so much a review of the MP560, which is excellent, but a review of our whole Canon experience. The installation of the MP560 is only the latest example of why we only purchase Canon products when they are available.
1. Software. The free software Canon offers with their products is better than some of the stuff you pay for.
2. Ease of installation. Unlike other printer manufacturers that we no longer patronize, Canon drivers install effortlessly and seem to survive the Windows(tm) update process better. And...
3. Customer support. When a weird problem occurs, e.g., interference from network security software, the call center answers promptly, elevates appropriately, and solves the problem accurately.

We have had other printers and cameras over the last two decades, but have settled on Canon products because they are always at or near the top of their class, but their customer support is unparalleled.
Pros: Compact Design, Lightweight/Portable, durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors, directly compatible with canon cameras, low price, company history, corporate philosophy, wi-fi
Cons: should be more readily available

Great all-around product!

Quickly connected to secured network and easily installed drivers and scanner support software. A couple of clicks of the excellent selection wheel, and I was able to scan to MacOS X 10.6 without a hitch. Printing worked just as well. Works great with other scanning software by installing as a normal scanner over the network. LOVE the ability to scan to USB or memory card, to print contact sheets, and to quickly print out notebook or graph paper.
Tremendous deal for all the features.
Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed

i bought this and thought i would give it a try dont know much about setting up wireless but had nothing to lose wow what a shock sat it up on xp and vista never did any thing so easy will be telling every one about it thank you canon

MP 560 is great!

We bought this as a replacement for an aging printer and are very happy with it. Print and scan quality are great!
Photo printing is superb. We printed photos on the sample 4x6 glossy paper and were truly amazed with the results - clear, sharp and bright photos.
This is a highly recommended printer/scanner!
Pros: easy to use, Sharp Tones & Colors

Just what we were looking for

The first thing we did was call a printer repair business and asked which printer they did the least work on. We called two and the answer was the same so Canon was the winner. After using the MP560 we are extremely happy with our choice. It works just as discribed and the results are very professional. We have scanned, copied and printed photos from PC, camera card and e-mail photos and since we use the MP560 in a home environment we can't compare it to another like printer. My wife tells me she has problems with trying to print in black only. Non the less it was a good purchase.

Great value for the mone

For the money this printer does a excellent job of printing and scanning. We own three other Cannon printers and are pleased with all of them. I would highly recommend this one for someone looking for a combo printer at a good price. It is one of the easiest printers to set up and use that I have ever had. Within 15 minutes you are ready to go. The prints are clear and sharp and the colors are good. For those who think the colors are dull it very well may be the paper you are using. Try using Canon papers. They are made to work best with the Canon ink. I have a much more expensive widebed Canon printer and the prints from this are not far off from the more expensive printer. Enjoy

All-n-1-Printer....is AMAZING

I love this printer ALREADY and I have only had it for about 13 hours so far. It's a all-n-one printer so you cant ask for more. I have tested the printer to see if it takes long to scan and print letter size paper and a photo, and it is so fast and easy. By far this is the best printer that I have ever come across. If you buy this printer I can assure you that you wont be let down. I love Canon products...I also have a Canon camera A1100IS 12PMP and 4x zoom, and it is also great. In my opinion Canon is a HIGHLY recommend product!!!
