Love it, Love it Love it!

We love it, it prints great, and the wireless feature is great so we can also print from our laptops, while sitting in the living room.
The only negative I have is that it takes a long time to "wake up" and start a print job. Once it's going though, it prints nice and fast. To me, it's worth the wait. Great scanning and copying features as well.
We LOVE it!
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use

Don't Buy It!

I bought this unit primarily because of the ability to print from a WiFi network. From a maintenance standpoint, the printer continues to operate with decent quality, even after a few years. Those are the two good points.
However, this unit absolutely REFUSES to print gray scale using ONLY black ink. I've set default printer settings, I've set every application setting, but it STILL uses CYM ink! And if any one of those run out, the printer will not print at ALL.
Cons: color ink consumption
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice Printer

I bought this printer because I wanted an all-in-one to use for both myself and my wife on our wireless network. I purchased it because we already had a Canon MP600 that we liked, but it lacked the wireless feature.
My experience with this printer has been excellent, except for one issue I'll touch on later. First, let me give you the positives. The printer was fairly easy to set up on the network. I did have a few uncertainties about settings initially, but I am not very knowledgeable about these things so it could be just me. Still, I was able to get the printer up and running without too much difficulty. It prints great from both my Mac and my wife's PC. We have been doing a lot of printing lately and the duplex feature has been great.
I am also a serious amateur photographer and have been pleasantly surprised by some photos I have printed on it. I would recommend a professional printer for heavy photo printing duties, but I send most of my prints out to a professional lab. However, for the occasional print the quality has been better than expected.
OK, on to my problem with printer. As the primary reason we bought a new printer was to be able to print wirelessly, I was very frustrated when the printer stopped connecting to my wireless network. I spent several hours trying to troubleshoot the problem without success. It would still print fine connected to the computer with the USB cable, but it told me the wireless signal was too weak for connection. It gave me this message even though nothing on the network had changed.
This happened about three months after I bought the printer, so I decided to buy another and see if it worked. If it didn't I intended to return it and buy another brand. However, the new printed connected to my network. It still tells me the signal is weak, even though my computer sitting right beside the printer says the signal strength is strong. The only conclusion I can come to is that the antennae inside the printer is poorly designed or made.
Outside that, however, I think the printer is great. I just wish I had not had to buy two and I hope the one I have now doesn't stop working like my first one did.
Pros: Compact Design, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: High Ink Consumption, Flimsy Construction

Outstanding results at less cost

First time when I opened the box and printed my first photo using Easy Photo Print software came with printer, I was very disappointed with the results. I was thinking to return the product to the Canon as soon as possible. However, I don’t know how this comes in my mind, I tried another software (ZoomBrowser Ex), which came with my VIXIA Camcorder, and I was very amazed to see the outstanding quality of my photo print. Since than, I am using ZoomBrowser Ex for printing photos and cards. From past several years of my experience with Canon products, I reached at this conclusion that the Canon manufactures best products in the market, however, there is no such software as provided by Canon, which could reveal the true potential of their products. All such software, which are provided with their products always undermine the quality of Canon products. if they are interested in the success of their products, I would strongly suggest Canon to stop providing Easy Photo Print software with their PIXMA MP560 printers. I think they should also pay some attention to their software, besides manufacturing best products in the market.
Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Low Ink Consumption, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use, convenient, very affordable price
Cons: sofware undermine outcome, printing material is expensive

Good printer unless you need to use it.

This printer works well, when it works. Frustrated by the constant Operator Error message with wrong print head, every other time I want to use it. Need to clean everything to get it working again. This printer is junk because it needs constant attention. I've had a few Cannon printers over the years, and this may just be the last time I buy one.

I purchased this to print out some photos from my old trusty 2006 Canon S2 IS camera for a large greeting card poster for a ill co-worker. Time was of the essence and when I bought it I wanted something I could just pop my camera memory in and roll. (set-up on computer network later) It was a breeze & the photos were of excellent quality. I have held off on getting a camera quality home printer for years, but this one was in my $ range and I look forward to doing lots more projects with it.
Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, Sharp Tones & Colors

The Pixma 560 all in one printer is easy to use and the wireless feature makes it very convenient. The copy quality is better than most and uses less ink for large print jobs than previous printers. This printer has been the best investment I have made.
Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Low Ink Consumption, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use
