could not connect the wireless, gave up. it would not recognize my router. my laptops use the router with no issue

Incredibly confusing

This printer has the most confusing setup I've ever encountered and I've owned many printers and scanners, as well as hooked up networks at work. I also own a 9500 and Eos, and Powershot...so I've been a Canon customer.
But connecting to a macbook over a wireless network will take over an hour to figure out, and if you want to print directly from photoshop (and not their easy print software that constantly crashes), good luck.
I'm stuck with this printer, but I see no reason with ever buying a printer from Canon again.
Pros: small.
Cons: terribly confusing., not good for professionals.

This is the only printer that i have ever owned that i cant take the url off the bottom of the page. I set the setting to fit to page and the file still doent fit right and cut off the file even when changing the orientation of the file.
Pros: reliable, durable, Small Footprint, fast print speed
Cons: Difficult to use, Difficult Setup

Difficult

The printer has the most difficult system to install cartriges in on the market. It is also extremly breakable
Cons: Heavy/Bulky, Difficult Setup, unreliable, Flimsy Construction

This Canon printer DOES NOT FAX! The features are aweful, it won't copy with the press of a button! You have to keep button after button and hope this mindless boat anchor will one day cooperate! It eats ink, stay away!

It is good looking and compact enough to fit my limited space. As a novice, I was not able to set up the wireless capability without help from Canon. The Canon tech spoke English and made the process go smoothly. I have printed with it and liked its print speed and the sharp looking printout. I have only had it a couple of days, so have not tried out the other functions, but expect them to work equally as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!
