Great Quality

I find the reviews funny that read: "large footprint". All multi-function machines with a flat glass for scanning have a larger footprint than an older printer only type machine. This machine is compact compared to many multi-function machines on the market.
Also, all printers are slow on the High-Quality setting, less on Standard Quality, and much faster on Draft Quality. The amount of ink printers use is also directly related to these settings.
The reason why we buy Canon is: they have excellent quality and reliability, they are also economical to run with the high capacity black ink tank.
We print several pages a day and we have tried several other brands. We feel Canon is the best overall brand for the reasons we mentioned.
Also, all printers are slow on the High-Quality setting, less on Standard Quality, and much faster on Draft Quality. The amount of ink printers use is also directly related to these settings.

BEST PRINTER EVER!

I just love my canon printer. It is easy to set up and use, prints pro-quality photos. I have printed an entire ream of paper of documents and about 50 full page photos and it is still not out of ink. It's much better than my old save-on-ink printer (nightmare). I recommend this to anyone of any aptitude with using printers. It's smarter than I am. This is the best printer I have ever owned- and I've owned dozens of every brand name. The photo quality blows my mind- they look better than the prints you pay top dollar for at retailers. People often ask where I've had photos done- and are amazed when I say that I took them AND printed them at home. I think this is the best value and quality in printing that is available to consumers! Highly recommended. Customer service is amazing and they are based in USA so I never have to say "I can't understand you..." A bonus!

Cons: Heavy/Bulky, dual side print a bit slow but worth the wait

Excellent Fast Quiet

This was the 3rd AIO inkject printer that I purchased in 2 days and it is outstanding in every regard. The installation was fast and flawless. The unit prints fast, the print quality is really good, and the unit is exceptionally quiet. The other two printers, from two other well known manufacturers, had various bizarre problems - really noisy, or didn't install at all - so this PIXMA PM560 is an absolute pleasure particularly by comparison. Great job, Canon!

First Time Canon Owner is Here to Stay

I have had this printer hooked up for just one day (wirelessly to two iMacs with Snow Leopard) and have copied, scanned & printed (both docs and pix) and am thoroughly amazed at the quality it produces. I have never owned a printer that printed such sharp, true to color, scanned copies before. It's almost impossible to tell which is my original picture and the one I scanned and printed. I'm sure I still have a lot to learn since not only have I never had a Canon printer before but I've never owned a Mac before either. With the help of Canon's UNBELIEVABLY WONDERFUL TECH SUPPORT, setting this printer up to my network was a breeze. They guide you step by step and answer any and all questions you may have without making you feel stupid or like you're bothering them. I don't expect to have any trouble learning the rest with the use of the onscreen manual but if I do, I'm very comfortable with making a call to Canon Tech Support. Don't hesitate if you're looking for a printer that does what this one does.

Nice Mulit purpose wifi printer

Product was easy to set up, can print from Iphone to the printer. great range with the wifi, can reach the kids rooms and they can print on my printer. have 5 computers and Iphones printing with just this one printer. scanning, copying, printing, photo printing are all great colors and smooth clarity. the only bad thing which is normal with all printers is the ink is way to expensive and I wish there was more ink in the cartridges. other than that I highly recommend this printer

Good machine

This is my first Canon all in one and I am quite pleased. Set up was easy, though a bit slow. Once it was up and running the software is easy to use and simple. I am using this more for the scanning and occasional photo printing, as I have a workhorse printer for my everyday printing needs. I like the scanning software, it allows more flexibility than I've had in other units. Also for the price, you can't beat it. Great scanner and wireless, purchases for $99! Highly recommended. I also like that Canon is on the multiple ink cartridge bandwagon, definitely the way to go.
Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use, great software
Cons: Slow Print Speed, set up easy but slow

Great Features

I have used computers, and printers, for almost thirty years and could write a book on the good, the bad, and the downright ugly. Very simply put, for the dollar amount; this is the best value, best operating design, and easiest printer to use that is currently available. I thoroughly enjoy using this printer.

Awesome but....

The only let down we've had with this printer so far is that we had hundreds of sheets of different brands (and generic brands) of photo paper that our other brands of printers would print beautifully on, that this one will not. And I don't mean it's just not the best print ever, I mean so horrible that they were completely useless for even a home photo album and we thought the printer was defective. I still gave it 5 stars because if you print on the canon photo paper plus the print is so sharp and professional looking that you can't beat it, at any photo lab even. All in all, a wonderful product! :)
