Best printer I have ever owned!

We purchased a Canon Pixma MP560 about two months ago. We have never owned a wireless printer and to say the least we were a little nervous about its performance. We have been wonderfully surprised at how easily this printer was to install, how easily cartridge changes are made, how efficiently it does automatic duplexing and other tasks that other printers seem to have given us problems with in the past. Thank you Canon for this wonderful and efficient little printer. We love it!

Best Combo Unit I have Owned
on August 17, 2010

Purchased this unit to replace a unit that failed. This printer combo was the easiest to hook up, set up and get going of any printer I have owned. Was a little optimistic about the various ink cartridges but after using if for a couple months, that is not an issue. Photo colors are true and clear for the price of the unit. Print speed is very satisfactory. Power up is fast also as we don't leave the printer turned on all the time, only when we want to use it. Not a big cumbersome unit when in use. Paper feed tray is not exposed to take up desk top room. I have a lot to learn about this unit yet as it does so much.
Pros: great quality for the bucks.
Cons: included software lacking in abilities.

Excellent printer w/small ink tanks

A lot of good stuff has already been written about this printer. It has done everything that I've asked of it - copy, scan, print, wireless works great. My only complaint is on the size of the ink tanks - they are much smaller than the ones in my iP4300 and so they deplete too quickly. I'll have to find an inexpensive way to manage my ink costs.
Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use, wireless
Cons: small ink tanks

Excellent value

This printer replaced a large all-in-one that had run out of ink, because I wanted a smaller, simpler model. I rarely use it for photos, however, but just for general printing and copying.
I especially like the duplex (two-sided) printing feature and the second feed tray. These allow me to save paper and to reuse paper that is still blank on one side, which goes in the second feed tray. The print preview feature is very useful.
I have only had it a few months, but already have to replace some of the ink cartridges, so I find it rather thirsty. The flip-up control panel is unneccesarily complicated and hard to use. A few straightforward buttons or switches would be easier to understand. Aside from the above complaints, I enjoy using this compact, inexpensive printer & copier.

Best Value In Printers

My wife and I purchased this as a gift to ourselves. We are astounded each time we use a new function as to the ease of use and the quality of the result. Set up literally took 10 minutes, including finding our wireless router to take advantage of the wi-fi feature. No matter where we are in the house, printing is just a click and a few seconds away. We especially enjoy the feature that shows the remaining ink level in each cartridge. The other bonus is two sided printing capability. This was very easy to set up and has saved us much paper, which is good for the environment. Canon hits another home run with one of it's products. No surprise for those of us who own other Canon products.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, Low Ink Consumption, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use

Setting up the Wi-fi on my MP560 was easy with the online help...step by step instructions with pictures of each screen was very helpful. I wish I would have consulted the Canon online help FIRST instead of reading the manual.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use
Cons: High Ink Consumption
